So the family could all puke on me? Once a 7000lb vehicle is under 4 seconds, there are no better results measured by anything but a stopwatch. My Boxster would it in 4ish with significantly more violence and amazing sound with the top down, but silence under 4 is golden. You need to make sure you fully turn off traction control first as well for even better results.
Hope so! Can't wait to be done with 2025.46.30!It's going to be released on Thursday.
setup Siri Shortcuts works for me
Considering the watch app is coming out I dont know if this will be relevant anymore. but if you scroll up on the watch home face, you open up the widgets screen, you can add Rivian Controls to the widget screen. This should still base off your phone being connected. This update sounds very handy, but ironically, the winter range update will hit us just in time for spring-- the most handy thing about a watch app for me would be a remote button to open the frunk whilst I am carrying groceries back to the truck, or better yet, siri integration to accomplish same thing via voice; I wonder if that will be an included function.
I have no idea what Rivian will include for a launch mode (suspension rake, F/R power distribution, etc) but, there is definitely a ramp up to full throttle curve applied to all ICE and EV vehicles with fly by wire throttles. There likely will be some optimization there. For lunch …er launch control, at what rpm will it launch at? Does it keep it on thru 7k rpm, or maybe 20k? 50k rpms? I only ask bc launch control on an EV is sort of pointless. Like selling ice to Eskimos pointless.
Growing up the concept of launch control was to keep the rpms up and shave a microsecond off of letting the clutch out. In an EV all the power is instant as soon as the go pedal is mashed. So adding LC on an EV adds a step. …but what do I know.
On a more serious note, I have looked everywhere and cannot find a high flow race exhaust for my R1S. Any recommendations?
Its an EV, they don't have cats for you to need to update. You need to update your mentality on expectations. What you need is a high flow race dog. That will improve your Lap times. For lunch …er launch control, at what rpm will it launch at? Does it keep it on thru 7k rpm, or maybe 20k? 50k rpms? Don’t forget suspension in soft mode for greater weight distribution over rear axle. Its an EV, they don't have cats for you to need to update. You need to update your mentality on expectations. What you need is a high flow race dog. That will improve your Lap times.
Also, agreed on the launch control. The only benefit I see is if it puts all the settings you typically need to put to get the best launch automatically.
Then the rest is just nice to haves like the coaching, foot on both pedals, steering wheel straight, etc.
- Sport mode
- Suspension Lowest
- Traction reduced
I would also see a benefit if it puts the suspension into a Launch specific mode like Lower front, back a little raised. Tesla does that with the S, no idea if it actually helps traction.

I see. You don’t understand a concept, therefore the concept is stupid. Thanks for opening my eyes. You are the best and I can’t wait for more insight so I can continue to learn from you.For lunch …er launch control, at what rpm will it launch at?
