Greetings @EV Sportline!! Despite reading the install instructions for the R1S RMaxx Aero Panels and watching two different install videos you have, both of which are really good, I still managed to install one of the longer, silver panel bracket clip nuts backwards. Then I one-upped myself and broke the clip while trying to take it off the panel bracket. Bracket is totally fine. My pride, a bit scratched up. 🙄🙄

Could you please either provide specific identifying info for the bracket so I can find one locally, or please let me know how I can order a few extras from EV Sportline?

I’m installing all this on my wife’s R1S and if possible would love to have a replacement bracket in hand by this coming weekend.

All those considering purchasing the Aero Panels and running boards, this mistake was totally on me. There is nothing lacking with the instructions!!

Thanks @EV Sportline !!

If anyone is willing to post a picture of the boards with the drivers side door open that would be appreciated (from an angle of entry to the vehicle).

No triple slot for those, it was a slow mover - so triple squares for the win!

since attaching the running boards without the aero plates requires cutting the original parts, does it affect the warranty in any way? also, has anyone noticed that the slits in the baseboards causes water to collect inside? thanks!

the only way warranty get's impacted is if the parts directly caused an issue - so if you drill holes in the plastic panel, Rivian will not warranty those plastic panels. That's pretty much it. Water never accumulates. The plastic panels are not 'water tight', regardless of the holes.

You guys planning running boards for the R2? I hope so.
With a ground clearance of 9.6 inches, that's an inch higher than the R1S in kneel mode, which isn't easy to get in and out of for smaller people.

@evsportline seeing that your active here. I’m having issues with my running boards and aero cover order, which the running boards aren’t lining up to the mounting brackets on my Gen 2 R1S and haven’t heard back, after sending detailed videos of my install. Order# 26912. Anyway to escalate my issue?

I though I had similar issues you're having when I first tried to line up the RBs to the brackets. I have the Gen 2 R1S Quad. I found it's good to tighten the board to the rear bracket first, then using the spacers on the two other brackets were just enough to fit. This just can't be helped and it's the reason the spacers are there. As for the cover panels, they need to be loosely installed and adjusted before tightening, and also there was one bolt that needed to be screwed into the two connecting panels (the bolt in the middle, in between the two doors) before the panels went in - otherwise you have no room to screw that bolt to the truck. By the end of the job, everything went in just fine and fitment was good.
