Auto Cabin Ventilation - Can it be disabled?

Since this feature was introduced in the last upgrade, I am finding it to be somewhat annoying.

Issue: I set the auto cabin ventilation to INTERNAL / RECYCLE, but every time I restart my R1T, it shifts Cabin Ventilation to AUTO, and soon the cabin is filled with whatever toxic fumes I happen to be driving through. I normally keep the cabin set to recirculate the inside air because of the glut of diesel vehicles on the roads in these parts, and the fact that our region has a sewage treatment plant a few miles away. There does not seem to be any monitoring of the air quality for the vehicle to determine when to shift the baffles. This happens regardless if I use the Rivian app to warm the cabin or not (the app is not over riding the setting, and as a matter of fact, I have it turned OFF in the app).

• Auto Cabin Ventilation does not stay set to driver preferences.

Is there a way to just disable this feature and leave it manually set to whatever I want?

Replace the cabin air filter with one that has charcoal like the @EVBASE which is great. Many modern cars go back to auto for a variety of reasons.

I had this issue when the HVAC was set to Auto instead of a particular fan speed.

If I leave the fan speed to my choice, rather than Auto, I do not have to change the inside vs outside ventilation.

Quoting myself, because it's a good reminder to set a...reminder. My filter was just over a year old and I was wondering why sometimes I could smell things. At $20 I will schedule it for every six months (Amazon subscribe & save).

What makes you think that EVs are immune from human-produced CO2 in the cabin?

You conflating it with CO from exhaust? Which these days, really has none due to catalytic converters. Anyway, CO2 from humans, and humidity, and other reasons are what I was alluding to. Auto-fresh-air is a FEATURE not a bug.

You seem to have stumbled in a thread about a different question and assumed it was the same. OP is talking about the recirc setting reverting to fresh/outside air. You seem to be talking about automatic cabin temperature control. There's a setting to enable that.
