I found the place to login to my account and also updated my delivery address and said no to launch edition. It is a good value, but I don’t need everythin. I will go for Permium with Catalina color and Coastal interior with Autonomy + and tow package.

Just got a phone call from a Rivian guide. He also said the actual configurator and ordering step will be available in June.

It will be 1/2 the cost of the air suspension and not fail in 68k miles... I am fine with this as all the review cars were running the active suspension. I fear the ride quality will not be as good in cars without it. So, Tesla switched to this on all the current model Y's and the improvement is immense.

My '06 Volvo V70R has semi-active suspension and it's both a simple setup and tends to last long. Main issue is once the car gets old enough, will you be able to buy replacements for it since it's not going to be an off the shelf part.

You have no way of knowing that and just made it up (aside from the fact that the cost is less).

You have no way of knowing that and just made it up (aside from the fact that the cost is less).

We actually do know how long active suspension in this use can last and its over 100k miles. Also, total replacement cost for these systems is what 1 R1 corner costs...

these types of semi-active dampers have been around for decades, i doubt that is going to be the point of weakness or concern for a model like this.
