Mine has failed a few times. You don't want it. Rivian tells me "its normal" now since they can't/won't fix it.......Wait, that's my front suspension, sorry, got confused.

Battery isolation box from high voltage to 12v battery. Controls charging and if your little 12v battery goes dead. Your bricked.

Is it just me, or are we seeing more of these posts where people join the community just to post something negative immediately?

I don't want to speculate, maybe it's the old "happy owners are out there enjoying their vehicles - not joining forums" thing. But seems a bit sus.

Did a hard reset help? Opened and closed the gear tunnel doors to make sure they are closed?

Id agree but the 12v battery was replaced in my driveway by Rivian technician 2hr before the tech bricked itself.

Are the contactors for the DC-DC invertor in that? If so, mine has failed once as well. Less spectacularly, but bricked none-the-less.

Yea, they didn't program mine right either. Died the next morning. Mobile service was back out that day to replace 12V (AGAIN) and reprogram it.

If you had a gen 1 R1T you won't have a bib. You will two batteries instead. Im not sure the BIB is a desirable item. I could have done without it failing.

Not all Gen 1 had two batteries. Some had a single battery and a capacitor.

Yup. I think it was Vin 19,9xxsomething that went from a dual to single 12v battery setup.
My 24xxx vin has a single battery, but my 13xxx vin had dual 12v.

Im not sure but I think your capacitor is in the isolation box? Maybe it's generation 1 revision 2? Im not sure.
