It’s a bit weird.

I get that these are marketing releases, and they are not following semverv2 (or even semver like) - but come on guys - this is what a point release is for. Being told I can upgrade from one version to the same version string, with a different short git commit sha like string in parentheses says that this attempt at simplifying comms is not working. it either needs to be up leveled further, or down leveled to something more understandable.
If I were guessing it's due to their release process is tightly coupled to some of these assumptions as it relates to partial rollouts, etc.

Is there a chance this update was paused? I received the notification on Thursday or Friday but never received it. Both phone and truck say I have the latest update, 2026.03.00

My guess is they already have a .1 internally but wanted to preemptively fix these issues now.

The garage door action,(steering wheel button) was paused, it did not open or close the garage door as it had before the OTA. So, I did it manually went to town, when I returned it worked again. Is there a buffering time of OTA changes?
mine took three weeks on the last one for the XM to stay connected.

I wonder if how a vehicle is parked matters to the OTA efficacy? High charge and pluged in with zero action around the vehicle, no door opening, no awaking no cameras nothing. This is how I do the OTA. 1 am alone in garage charged, but plugged in. Also I do not public charge even as much as once a month. Maybe every 3 0r 5 months. I am the only driver, I wife has a key, but does not drive. Also, I do not do "Launch mode" or off road performance stuff.

I don't believe any of those actions have any impact regarding whether or not an OTA update is received or applied. There is a minimum SoC requirement, but it is pretty low. I think the message said 15%.

Mine downloads and installs in a detached garage. Certainly nothing happens around here at 3am. About the same on the rest.

My altimeter has been restored as well. Feeling good about that.

If it's not repeatable, it's not a bug...
That's my point. Someone who is not familiar with software development might provide a vague report. They don't have the understanding of what it takes to provide a proper bug report that details the specific steps and existing conditions to reproduce a problem. It can be significantly more difficult to reproduce a bug when real time operating systems and constantly changing real world variables are part of the condition.

I got the hotfix update, and my home location is gone and I no longer have the option of not locking when at home. I don't see it anywhere in the settings access page. I did a hard restart and re-saved my home location and did another hard restart, but still don't have the option to not lock at home.

Pretty weird. I set it in the nav unless there's some other place I need to set it. Haven't had to do that in eighteen months since I bought the truck, so I don't recall if there's some other place to set it.

The other weird thing is immediately after the install, when I first looked at the nav, it suggested I was at the factory in Illinois. After the hard restart, it at least reset to the correct GPS location. But still, no visible setting to not lock at home.

Even the hotfix doesn't seem particularly well baked.

Here is a great summary of the update process,

I'm just lucky then, very little problems.

I know the installation can be paused..... Can the actual downloads be stopped?

Inclined to wait a couple weeks at this point.
