Maverick sized truck, but a universe platform for whatever they want.....Next bronco sport EV most likely.

Love it that more choices are coming. Not for me, but there is no R2T, so this and toyota's thing may be the only players out there in smaller EV trucks.

Skip the click unless you want to see pictures of a bunch of Ford execs around an unidentifiable piece of metal.
I'll stay respectful and keep it out of their thread but man, that link and picture of the Ford CEO really just makes me think of;

I want to like Ford. But, they made so many bad choices. Early on, they had the Escape PHEV that competed with the RAV4 Prime. They didn’t improve it, now there’s no Escape and a waiting list for the 2026 RAV4 PHEV. Ford has the highest recall rates out there. The Lightening 150 was too big, overpriced, and not beloved by the 150 community. Meanwhile, there’s the R2, BMW iX3, Volvo ex60 and Audi Q6 out there. They don’t even have a competitor to the Equinox EV. Sad!

A room full of middle aged white dudes talking about the future. What a world!
Not for nothing, but no doubt those "middle aged white dudes" have owned, driven and almost certainly worked on actual motor vehicles in their lifetimes vs. asking a 20 something yo who's only been driven around by his parents, doesn't even have a drivers license and takes a bus to work to design a motor vehicle.

You're not wrong, but the lack of gender and ethnic diversity is hard to ignore and tells another story altogether.

I didn’t know gender and ethnicity had anything to do with developing a vehicle.
One photo of a few individuals doesn't define the larger sphere.

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem

Farley is a genuine, lifelong, actual "car guy."

Yes, he's a middle-aged white dude and I'd love to see some varied perspectives at the senior levels of car companies (and beyond), but I can't take his genuine love of vehicles away from him. From the people I know who have met him, he's the real deal.
