With all due respect, promoting 22 lbs of weight savings is kind of funny. Its a 7k lb. vehicle with most of the weight at a low center of gravity already in the battery pack.

First thing I think of is our 2014 BMW i3 with its carbon fiber roof failing and peeling due to UV exposure.Cool product! I've got cats that jump on the roof of my truck constantly. Am sure it's only a matter of time before one of them breaks it.
Looking forward to seeing published specs about "standard vs premium". Standard wrapped to match the color of the vehicle would probably be my preferred choice. And also list of installers who can handle this.
That said, is it weird the first thing I think of when I hear "carbon fiber roof" is this?

You are right, not very much difference for the overall weight of the vehicleWith all due respect, promoting 22 lbs of weight savings is kind of funny. Its a 7k lb. vehicle with most of the weight at a low center of gravity already in the battery pack.
We would love to, anyone who can help us contact her?Have you considered having Kim Java hawk your product?
Good point, it is a real concern for any roof (unless glass) I guess, paint suffer too from UV. However we have been trying to mitigate this problem offering the premium carbon fiber roof with a UV PPF protection included and for our standard carbon roof we have applied an UV gel coat for long term protection.First thing I think of is our 2014 BMW i3 with its carbon fiber roof failing and peeling due to UV exposure.

Thank you for replying. I think the UV PPF protection will help. I need to sand down our i3 CF roof, seal it, then apply PPF.Good point, it is a real concern for any roof (unless glass) I guess, paint suffer too from UV. Ah carbon fiber will absolutely crack and shatter upon impact. Cool product though.2. Safety
Unlike glass, carbon fiber will not crack or shatter upon impact.
Don’t mind him, the weight savings matters for me and potentially others. 22lbs is 22lbs. For some of us, we’re towing rigs and payload is on our minds. You are right, not very much difference for the overall weight of the vehicle, we are not promoting the weight savings per se ( however for installation purposes, it is much easier for an installer to manipulate our carbon roof, compared to the glass roof manipulation), we are just trying to indicate all specifications so you know what you get.

A joke that you have to explain isn't nearly so funny, but please tell us you get why this is hilarious, right? We would love to, anyone who can help us contact her?
