OMG here I am thinking we were done with this dumbass thread.
Care to join The Count's lawsuit about the flying cars promised when he was a wee lad?

Because money is fake and ghey now?

I don't really give a crap about the lawsuit, but that last part about gratitude for what we got might be a bridge too far.

The early adopters and "investors" in an unproven car company are as much responsible for the success and sustenance of this company than anyone else.

And when you offer a contract for a product at "X", you better either write into the contract some mechanism of market prices escalation or honor the originally issued price. I am not going to kiss the ring because they were forced to deliver upon what was contracted.
So the solution is to join a class action lawsuit to make a bunch of lawyers lots of money?

My post just above the one that you quoted is probably a bit more context providing for your question.

Weird...?? It's like lawyers are always looking to screw someone.

Justified or otherwise.

My 2023 R1 has never been in for service, except for adding a spare tire and tire rotation. It is the best car I have ever owned, and the number of features and enhancements that have been added every month or two is astounding. The mapped road self-driving is pretty darn good. My only real complaint is camera resolution. I always took Rivian's full self-driving stuff as aspirational.

Stories vary quite a bit. I think the build quality for a 1st generation car is quite good.

I have been without my car for about 2-3 months over my tenure of ownership as one example.
