This will be great if they can make it agentic to perform tasks like putting the truck into your preferred drive mode when you start it, or changing the drive mode to all purpose / soft when you enable D+. Probably not though.

This will be great if they can make it agentic to perform tasks like putting the truck into your preferred drive mode when you start it, or changing the drive mode to all purpose / soft when you enable D+. Probably not though.
I asked it to put my truck in reverse, couldn't do that. 😉

Also: Update nuked my flash drive used for Gear Guard, had to remove it and wipe it with DiskPart on my computer (normal format errored out). Not a biggie, doesn't seem to be a widespread issue. 🤷

Thanks for sharing the drive issue, I’ll make sure to check once I get the OTA.

That's what I thought, but according to their AI Use Terms, looks like their using " Azure OpenAI through Microsoft"

I mean, it does say 'such as'... And in some of the leaked versions, it had the ability to select from a few different providers.

Priority is over the non-subscribers only. Non-subscribers start in bulk maybe a week ten days after you.

RivianRomer currently shows about 50% of C+ downloading and 2% of the rest. Priority is not a first in line guarantee vs all the other C+ subscribers. You know if everyone is special.... no-one is special.

Myself I prefer to wait a week and see what vets out for bugs.

Although I find it odd how slow the roll out is in general. Will it slow down when there are a million+ vehicles? 5 million? Would be interesting to know the push rate.

Playing around with the VA for about 10 min and here are some findings:

Voice control will not fold the mirrors, it can't control the windows, can't toggle the hazard lights, can't activate windshield wipers, can't do anything with the headlights or turn signals, can't save dash cam footage, can't restore seat position, can't change charge limit or amperage, can't toggle hotspot, can't turn on camp mode, and you can't lock/unlock the doors.
In addition, the voice assistant can't give you consumption data, can't open the center console, can't fold the seats, can't lock storage bin, and gives completely inaccurate information about nearest chargers (looks like it's using the major city I'm in as a reference instead of my current GPS location).

Mind you, it does understand what I want which is actually pretty surprising. But incredibly frustrating that I can't use voice commands as a safety feature so as to not interact with the touchscreen and divert attention from the road. What gives?

You are talking about a macro type system which would be awesome to do a routine on command.

I just asked it what SolarEdge replacement part I can use for a p505 optimizer that's been damaged by squirrels. It actually gave the correct answer that an s500b or p5** optimizer is compatible. But I'm more impressed it didn't give the incorrect answer that other LLMs give, and that is the S440 optimizer which specifically does not work with other p505s in a string.

So, general inquiries get a +1
