Yeah, if the real issue isn't budget then the only "limitation" is for the 1-2% of actual buyers who might buy a purple vehicle. Otherwise it's getting the LE package "free" and remaining patient if you want forest green or the light interior.

Those online surveys never translate to sales and historically purple doesn't move well. Unfortunately that's also true of many of the colors enthusiasts appreciate (Compass Yellow anyone?) and why the entire industry ends up with the glorious shades of gray from the German automotive rainbow.

Sorry about that.... I figured I'd shout it out to the [digital] world of people who might understand the feeling.

The wife is quite tired of hearing that from me, and the cats seem to only pay attention when I have food with me, which makes me suspect it isn't the R2 they're interested in.

we all know it will not be 13% in reality. Just like Compass Yellow was popular on this forum and scored well in surveys but in reality unfortunately did not sell well. Even Red Canyon (which I have) has not sold that well (5%) and was withdrawn for a short time. Purple will sell less well than red.

The problem is people like me who might consider it, but aren't going to wait for it. If it were a launch exclusive option, I would be more apt to take it than otherwise too.

• It overall "brightens" the interior so you don't feel like you're sitting in the Batcave
• The lighter color helps keep the seats a bit cooler (in my observation) during the summer months, as it doesn't absorb as much heat

I grew up riding in my dad's Buick with a black interior. I vowed to never buy myself a mobile coffin with steamy seats. Ick.

I especially hate light colored headliners.

My similarly petty complaint is that I hate the light-colored airbag cover. If the entire steering wheel were black, I would consider the light interior, but the two-tone steering wheel just gives me the ick

I could understand if the actual steering wheel was light-colored... ewww . But the airbag cover? Unless you're blowing the horn 24-7, it wouldn't be "ick"
