I doubt this is changing in the hotfix, but I so want the turn signals to turn off earlier on lane changes, like once all your wheels cross the lane lines. I'm always squared away in the new lane for several seconds, wondering if the turn signals will auto-off or if I need to do so myself (and half the time accidentally triggering the signal for the opposite direction).

Counterpoint, I'm a Rivian homer but it's ok to call things out when they release half baked stuff. I give Tesla a TON of shit for beta testing on end users. I'll do the same to Rivian. Doesn't mean i hate my Rivian, but the first launch was barely useable to me. Nearly nothing I tried worked the way it was supposed to. It also broke other things (Highway Assist) unless you knew to do something that the update didn't tell you that you needed to do.

RA has potential but right now its closer to 2011 Siri than it is 2026 Claude.
Sorry it broke things for you. My experience, and it seems like from many others, is that it didn’t break anything and it enhanced people’s experiences. It largely worked and I am happy to have something at 80% and improve rather than wait for the elusive 100% perfect product.

It seems like for many it broke things. There are tons of messages both here and on twitter with people having issues. You can choose to ignore them, but they exist.

There is a difference between 100% perfect and a half baked product. I've been really happy in the past with the way Rivian software worked .. this update missed the mark IMO. Likely rushed out the door to beat the R2 launch.

Count me as one of them. I have no use for this half-baked AI stuff, yet the latest updates have caused cruise control/UHF to be broken randomly on some drives. I got in the car at the airport last night, tired after a long flight, and then couldn't use cruise control for the hour long drive home because of these bugs. It just said "not available" every time I tried to engage it (clear night, no weather, etc). The next day, it worked fine.

This has been happening a lot since the last update. So has interruption to Apple Music streaming -- songs just randomly stop in the middle.

I'm sick of updates breaking basic vehicle functionality. We're about to go on a 2500 mile road trip and now I'm apprehensive about whether cruise control is going to work. I am a big Rivian supporter but they have got to get better about this. In all my years of having a Tesla, I can count on one hand the number of times I had a software hiccup. In 6 months of owning a Rivian, I've lost count.

I don’t have UHF so haven’t seen that. I haven’t chosen to ignore anything (don’t assume and cast aspersions). Seems inconsistent between users with many on these forums saying they are happy with it (highlighting some limitations like window venting) and others with more serious issues.

In many respects this evaluation is correct. But I dictated the same message to Siri and RA yesterday and was shocked how much better RA was. Siri was crap by comparison. Now if they keep addressing other issues and enhancements, we'll have a winner.

This happened to me as well and I fixed it by rebooting the truck.

When everything comes back up, a message will be on the display asking you to approve location tracking. There are also some additional selections you need to make in the Privacy tab to give the truck the permissions it needs to do lane centering (and A+).

I think the last update added some settings and they were not properly set after the update was installed the first time. At least that is what it looks like to me.

Try it and see if that helps you. I agree a long trip is much nicer with lane centering.

Yes
Even though I approved location tracking when installing the software it didn’t stick.
I had to go to Data and Privacy page to turn it on again to get highway assist back.
It took 3 days to find that solution on various forums. Very annoying.
I also had issues with not being able to message until I posted on a forum for help.
