I installed the 2026.15.01 update this afternoon while at work, and when I got in my R1T to drive home, I was bombarded by "Front Sensor Off" alerts on the driver's display. The alert would minimize and give a red "hazard" triangle down low, then the triangle would disappear, and then the pop-up would reappear. Happened nearly constantly on my 25 minute drive home, sometimes multiple times a second, sometimes it would wait for 5 or 10 seconds. Anyone else try the update and have similar or smooth results?

Try a hard reboot (hold down the far-left button on the steering wheel and the hazard button together, for 5 or so seconds).

Sometimes after updates, sensors or computers will fail to immediately come back online.

Yeah, I don't like to do hard resets too often but probably worth it to make this 'whack-a-mole' go away. I'll try it before heading off again tomorrow. Thanks.

Why? There is no harm in doing hard resets. The ability to do it is there for a reason. And if you contacted support they would have you try it first.

"Wasn’t this built so that the front wouldn’t fall off?"

The guidance from Rivian is to use reboots as a troubleshooting tool when something is behaving abnormally, not as regular maintenance. Go for it!

Don't forget, Rivian suggests that if you do the hard rest to wait at least a hour before trying another hard reset. While a hard reset is for end users use it with a full understanding of how to use it. Read the Owner's Manual for more info.

I always do a "hard reset"/restart after installing a new software version on my R1S.

Is 2026.15.01 a Gen1 update only? For my Gen2, I am currently on 2026.15.0. I have been notified that 2026.15.30 is available for update. I've seen no mention of 2026.15.01. Just curious.....

A few on the forum follow this practice, I don’t but understand why others do it.

I was told by Rivian a while back to reboot only when troubleshooting an issue.

Next time I'll check RR first before posting 😏
Well, I thought it's better for you (and anyone else) to see a verified source, as opposed to taking my word. Plus, RR is a great resource for owners and would-be owners.
