three thoughtsâŚI'm trying to make up my mind on color for my upcoming R2. Kinda drawn to Forest Green, partly out of nostalgia for my folks' 1972 green Monte Carlo with matching green velour
For those who've had a Forest Green R1S/T for some time, how's it been to live with? Still like it? Pros/cons? Pics?
Much appreciated, in advance.
1/ I agree, the forest green is my favorite color too for the R2 along with the light interior (I do wish there was a cognac brown leather interior for it though). Checking out this thread, itâs my second favorite color too for the R1 (Yep, Iâm a compass yellow fan. âŚcanyon red is sweet too).
2/ âŚASIDE: as my aunt used to always say, âwhatâs the use of having an opinion if you donât express it?â Back then, as a smarty pants, I would retort, âand opinions are but the lowest form of knowledge.â Nowadays, I think people are more likely to say, âdont confuse me with facts when my mind is already made up.â But I digressâŚ
3/ what happened to all of the color of cars and trucks? I grew up in the late 60s and early 70s. I remember my dadâs banana yellow 72 or 73 Buick Centurion with a white vinyl roof. Loved that color & car. I also loved the bright and jewel colors of other trucks and cars from that time. Our earlier 2-tone Rambler was another example of colorful cars and truck from those days. My dad prophesied back when silver cars started becoming popular in the 80s, âsoon we will be back to the color pallet of Henry Ford: any color of black.â
by the way, yaâve got a good eye! âŚIMHO!!
