I'm trying to make up my mind on color for my upcoming R2. Kinda drawn to Forest Green, partly out of nostalgia for my folks' 1972 green Monte Carlo with matching green velour :p

For those who've had a Forest Green R1S/T for some time, how's it been to live with? Still like it? Pros/cons? Pics?

Much appreciated, in advance.
three thoughts…
1/ I agree, the forest green is my favorite color too for the R2 along with the light interior (I do wish there was a cognac brown leather interior for it though). Checking out this thread, it’s my second favorite color too for the R1 (Yep, I’m a compass yellow fan. …canyon red is sweet too).

2/ …ASIDE: as my aunt used to always say, “what’s the use of having an opinion if you don’t express it?” Back then, as a smarty pants, I would retort, ”and opinions are but the lowest form of knowledge.” Nowadays, I think people are more likely to say, “dont confuse me with facts when my mind is already made up.” But I digress…

3/ what happened to all of the color of cars and trucks? I grew up in the late 60s and early 70s. I remember my dad’s banana yellow 72 or 73 Buick Centurion with a white vinyl roof. Loved that color & car. I also loved the bright and jewel colors of other trucks and cars from that time. Our earlier 2-tone Rambler was another example of colorful cars and truck from those days. My dad prophesied back when silver cars started becoming popular in the 80s, “soon we will be back to the color pallet of Henry Ford: any color of black.”

by the way, ya’ve got a good eye! …IMHO!! 😉

Forest Green and Forest Edge for the win. 🌲🌲

I get compliments all the time. Too bad Forest Edge won’t be available for R2 (so far)

I'm literally in the forest camping with my Forest Green R1T, and with the dappled light coming thru the trees you get a perfect example of how varied the color can look in sun vs. shade. I love it so much.

No regrets, it looks great!

I've had my FG R1T since March of '22 and still love the color. I would have got it on the R2 (order went in last Tuesday) if it was available currently.

I’ve had mine for 2 years and still love the way it looks. It’s very different depending on the level of sunlight shining on it which is also a plus.

Just picked up our Forest Green R1S Tri earlier this month, spec’d it with the light interior and it looks amazing. It is my third green vehicle since 2023, and I think one of the best colors Rivian offers, definitely skews towards British Racing Green . (pics of all three of the greens from various makes).

Had my forest green R1S for two years, still love it, wish I would have waited for the interior I had originally configured (forest edge) but when a launch edition came available on website I couldn’t wait any longer ( with the black interior) and pulled the trigger

I wish it were not as glossy as it is, and I am too cheap to wrap it in matte PPF... Other than Launch Green (and now Half Moon Grey) its the best option IMO.

Four years ago I ruled FG out because it shows dirt so easily. Now I went with Red Canyon and love my orange truck so it worked out well. But twice I have had FG R1S demos on the black all terrains and, dirty or not, it's just a fantastic looking vehicle. I'm leaning Launch Green on the R2 but FG is definitely one to consider.

FG reminds me of the two Emerald Green Mica NB Miatas I have owned. It is darker and much more metaillic than real British Racing Green.
