As we all know the EPA estimated ranges of EVs do not often translate into actual real world range.
There are so many factors that can impact range including, but not limited to: driving over 70MPH, cold weather, using climate controls, wind, hilly terrain, towing, the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow, etc.
Anyway, I found this cool little web app that calculates EV range based on various factors. Not sure how accurate it is, but it’s fun to play with. Your mileage may vary (pun intended).
Comes in handy when arguing with people about how much range you’ll actually get when driving up a mountain in the middle of winter in a Slate truck with the heater on.
