How the heck do I pull the cargo crossbar lock core out?

I don't understand the instructions. The change key does not rotate at all ("rotate the key core to align it with the lock").

I've tried searching for video tutorials, but the "tricks" used for other Yakima products don't work (jiggle the change key, turn change key to 45 degrees, etc.)

Has anyone done this successfully and can help? I feel really dumb.

Edit: the trick (for me) was to apply firm downward force to the change key while slowly removing it.

Done it. It's the same as other Yakima products, shouldn't require anything extra.

Key goes in, core comes out, you can't explain that!

It is like Yakima. You wiggle it around a bit and it should come with the key.

And BTW you could always stop by the Rivian Service Center and they'll help you with it ...
