Employees receiving R2 first. Does this forum have any Rivian employees? Will/Can they answer questions?

If this forum does have current Rivian employees who are in the process of receiving their R2, how soon can they answer questions from the general public? Does this forum need to post questions in different categories that employees can input on without releasing their names?

I'm pretty sure that employees of most companies are advised to avoid forums, clubs, etc. for things relating to their place of employment unless it's required for their job.

If my neighbor decides to get an early release, I'll walk over with a bottle of wine to talk... I actually remember him telling me he is most likely waiting for LIDAR in the Gen 2 R2, and for most of the bugs to get worked out (this time around), before he gets one. That doesn't mean he won't have a test vehicle I can look at.

Rivian employees don’t avoid these forums. In fact, they’re actively monitored.

However, they wisely do not post.

I know an employee getting an early build. I can ask him for some early feedback but I’m not sure what he’d be allowed and or willing to disclose or what the forum would want to know.

Slightly off topic but my wife also recently met a Rivian owner who purchased an R1T using his now ex-girlfriend’s employee discount. Not sure how that worked but he said it’s the only way he could have afforded the car and he absolutely loves it. I hope to off road with him in AZ soon.

Is the discount really that much? I already have an R1T and acquaintance offered me his if I want a Gen2 or R2. I figured it was 6/7k max.
