The more I see pictures of Catalina Cove, the more I wish I could re-paint my Gen 1 R1T in that color (that being said, Forest Green is super good too!)

Agreed, my thoughts entirely (except for the lack of an R1 to repaint).

Unfortunately my wife is still full tilt for purple, with the only thing standing in the way being the Premium-to-Performance upcharge requisite to accessing that choice. I don't really dislike the purple, but don't want to (i) pay way, way more (above the Premium trim we want) for a color I like less, and (more importantly!) (ii) allow her to stake a bigger claim on driving time with the vehicle because that's her color ;). Careful strategy required here, I think ... In all likelihood, though, I believe this will only result in a compromise German rainbow choice, e.g., silver or gray.

That purple is really good.... And whenever R3 rolls around, if Borealis is an option my wife and I are gonna have to figure out a place to park it (as our garage only has room for one car...)

Yeah, we too only have a 1-car garage. (Well, one car and one hoarding bay.) I imagine some here may not be pleased to hear that if we proceed with an R2 purchase that'll be the car left in the driveway in favor of our matte finish Ioniq 5 indoor pet.

Yeah Catalina Cove is coming off as too dark. Not feeling it. If we had a blackout trim option for the white or a brown interior option, the white R2 would be the one to get.

White looks great but half the cars on the road are white -- boring. I'm really disappointed with the last couple of Catalina Cove posts -- it's so dark. I wish Rivian Blue was an option.
Agree which is why I wanted a real color but it is looking (from recent photos) that white may be the best.

Yeah, or silver -- we haven't seen the silver yet.

I'm pretty disappointed. The thread with Catalina Cove next to a Rivian Blue makes me even more disappointed.

Just admit it, you’ve already lost primary access to this future vehicle. You’ll need to buy a second R2 for guaranteed access.
