Yeah..which we don’t have haha. So we’d need to essentially buy 3 new car seats.
It is doable. But I’d rather have the R1S sooner than later. We shall see.
We have a Model Y currently and we have two kids. The third arrives in October and our plan is to buy a used 2023 R1S to accompany the 3rd baby. However, we may try to do 3 car seats in the Y until my R1S reservation comes around which won’t be mid to late 2024.
We’ll see..3 car seats in the Y...
I can get behind the yellow but I CANNOT handle that they did not match any other yellow on the vehicle. I believe the yellow break calipers are a different yellow and also the badge yellow is different. 3 different shades. Kills me.
May I ask when everyone did their pre-order that are getting access to the R1S shop? So stoked for everyone, seems invites are constantly being sent out.
Big yikes. Absolutely not how it should be operating and yes of course she chose her words wisely. That's what people do when they speak on behalf of companies.
I would continue to make a stink about this at your local Rivian Center if possible. Even on a $40-50k car it shouldn't sound like...
Hey Brian, after digging through the forums I see multiple people saying that it is this: https://www.amazon.com/AutoGeneral-Glass-Cleaner-5620/dp/B01MZ5AWI2?th=1&psc=1
Here is the thread: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/rivian-windshield-washer-fluid.10666/page-2
We need a R1S before October and if our preorder isn’t close and we haven’t heard anything we’ll be buying a used one (made after 2023 to ensure the most safety features). Would be willing to buy one now but I know the market will be a bit lower here in a few months.
I'm sure Rivian knew this...
This may be a long shot but I am currently eyeing a used R1S with the VIN 76XX, it also only has 150 miles. Which is kinda sus that it was traded in already. It says that it is a 2023 Launch Edition but am not sure how to tell exactly when it was built? Attempting to confirm if it was built...
Update - My drive was SO good. I immediately went into the 2nd row and started playing with configurations on how 3 car seats would fit and be the easiest way to do things.
IMO the best option if you do have 3 car seats is, 2 of them in the middle and you have the passenger side 2nd row seat...
Hey, my partner and were able to test drive a R1S a few weeks ago. I am actually going to go today up to Sac to test drive again and can't wait to actually feel what it's like. I was unable to drive due to my license being expired last time so we set up another appointment.
I am still unsure...
Take a look at the early days of Tesla. 10 days? Imagine having to wait 1+ month for a part or anything.
Either way, I understand the frustration and it is 100% valid. But still, in the grand scheme of things, it's not the biggest thing. I suppose that's why it's called a rant. <3
I have a Model Y and this is one thing I am looking for the most in the R1S. My driveway is on a slight incline and there have been countless times where things just roll out and either break or get scratched etc..good lord.
Love seeing stories like this. We have a Model Y and the regen is great. Absolutely love one pedal driving with that. When we went to test drive a R1S, the regen is even more aggressive. Which I actually enjoyed. While driving the Y yesterday I was messing around with the regen breaking and...
