In all seriousness, there's so many people selling accessories (some great, some junk, and some that blatantly leverage the IP, i.e. mugs or caps with a logo slapped on) on eBay, Amazon, Etsy etc etc., you'll be fine. They seem to go after the larger, better known aftermarket companies, and I'm...
yeah, the stealth wrap is TOTALLY worth it, even if it's not free! Zero regret about ours, literally looks as good as the day we took delivery, and no worries taking it through car washes.
yeah, we were just ahead of our time :)
@Ecupip is right though, even Xpel has issues sourcing the replacement emblems from Rivian, so I doubt there will ever be a time when these are an easy retail order from Rivian.
Honestly not sure...normally the PPF goes over the vinyl. Depending on the PPF it does has some hydrophobic properties, so it might inhibit a good adhesion of the vinyl, but I'm not sure. Why does there appear to be light bleed through the lightbar? That shouldn't be the case, the vinyl used is...
I see that Christal's replied to you, so will leave you in her more than capable hands. When we first started with the emblems, we replicated the Rivian color logic, so the compass and side emblems had a choice of all-black, or yellow & black, and the rear was all-black only. Based on feedback...
You can use Adhesion promotor, makes a world of difference. Just apply, let it cure for 5-15 mins, then stick the lights.
Not exactly illegal ?, just relegated to special order. Here's the video where I remove the interior frunk trim...depending on how old it is, these panels tend to off-gas or...
First time...these are manufactured many at a time, so it's difficult to see how it could happen. We've sold 1000's of these, and 80k+ if I include all the Tesla emblems over the years, so it's unusual, but in that kind of quantity there can always be a couple of random outliers.
We've been advised before that's not really an option. It might prolong the inevitable, but ultimately it's playing games that any legal process would frown upon (so I'm told - not my area of expertise).
Every legacy car company does it, but Tesla never has, was hoping Rivian would be a little more progressive. Judging from the supply chain issues just getting new emblems to XPel and other wrap shops, I doubt they're making their own any time soon.
Hi all
We got another love letter from Rivian. Those that have known me or AO for a bit of time will know this is nothing new, and we'll figure something out at some point, but since Rivian refuses to have any discussion around licensing, we'll be removing them from our retail site in the next...
Just another data point, and a general comment that base insurance rates are going up for everyone. We were with Tesla, now with Connect/AmFam (Costco), and about to go through the hassle of shopping it around again after a 32% increase from the previous 6 months, or 44% YoY!
For those that...
Got the truck back; aside from the Enterprise return/shuttle process, everything is fine. Truck is in good shape (not cleaned, or charged, and footprints all over the truck bed); no dings, which judging from this thread, I should take as a win.
