  1. Garage door opener not working intermittently

I was having this problem recently and then yesterday it stopped working altogether. I erased the current opener and then reprogrammed it, and it’s worked fine since.
  2. 2024 TACOMA - Here It Is - ICE & Hybrid Competitor! ?

Prices not yet announced. Place your bets, the top end model will be over/under $60K?
  3. R1T Off Road Trail Report & Videos: Morgan City Wash (Metro Phoenix Area) 5/12/2023

Great video! I love seeing Rivians used properly and their capabilities explored.
  4. R1T returns to the sand dunes at Pismo Beach

I designed and 3D printed a flag holder that attaches to one of the bolts in the side of the bed and also wedges into the tonneau cover slot (I don’t have a tonneau). If anyone wants the STL file for this, I’m happy to share it.
  5. R1T returns to the sand dunes at Pismo Beach

I forgot to mention this. After the deflation scare I pumped them up to 45 & didnā€˜t have any more problems.
  6. R1T returns to the sand dunes at Pismo Beach

Following up from the disappointment of my first attempt to enjoy the Rivian on the sand dunes at Pismo Beach, because it was closed, I went back this week and got to explore & enjoy the Rivian’s capability. In the process I learned a few things. Tire Pressure: I aired my (BFG KO2) tires down...
  7. BFG 285/60/20 tires with 20" aftermarket wheels installed (+ blacked out badges & light bars tint)

I typically drive on the standard/middle ride height, in all purpose mode with the default suspension on soft, and it never rubs during street driving. Off roading it will rub if the suspension bottoms out. If I drive on the street in low, it rubs when the suspension compresses very much going...
  8. BFG 285/60/20 tires with 20" aftermarket wheels installed (+ blacked out badges & light bars tint)

There’s no way to know for sure without trying it. But I’m going to guess that it’ll be ok. A 35mm offset is very good. Keep in mind that different tires have slightly different shapes at their edges (this is more true for all terrain tires than road tires). Because of this, one tire brand...
  9. ICE Competition: 2024 Ranger & 405hp Ranger Raptor ? Revealed

I predict that Ford will build an EV Ranger next. If they were to build a Lightning Raptor Ranger (unlikely) that could be the closest thing to a R1T.
  10. Official Rivian Bike Pad for R1T Tailgate - First Look! ?‍ā™€ļø (updated w/ photos in use)

I don’t want straps that wrap all the way around the tailgate. As the OEM, they have a lot more freedom to design something different. Yes, perhaps some buckles that clip onto the tailgate under the flap. I want someone smarter & more creative than me, the same people that designed all the...
  11. Official Rivian Bike Pad for R1T Tailgate - First Look! ?‍ā™€ļø (updated w/ photos in use)

I love this pad. But it’s missing a feature I was hoping for, which is a way to install & remove it quickly, rather than the same old straps. The straps are ok for putting the pad on & leaving it on, but that’s not what I want to do. Note in the video it looked pretty quick & easy to install...
  12. Munro comparison: Rivian seats vs Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Tesla

I agree completely. But what about for the R2, which is supposed to be lower cost? It seems like that’s the right place to sacrifice some level of quality & apply all of this cost saving.
  13. Munro comparison: Rivian seats vs Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Tesla

It seems like every time they criticize Rivian, it’s for spending too much money and over-building everything with too much quality. I can’t recall them ever saying Rivian built something poorly.
  14. Wait.. we really don't need the jack pucks?

This is the perfect description of Rivian’s response to anything we want to do that doesn’t involve OEM parts and their service centers. If you follow the manual, it says you shouldn’t change the tires, wiper blades, or add windshield washer fluid without consulting them. ā€œStay Adventurousā€œ...
  15. Service Center Says 4x Bent 22" Wheels at ~800 miles. Updated: incorrect diagnosis

Rite Way Wheel in Walnut Creek, CA might be able to help, or might be able to advise you on how to respond to Rivian. It seems like you could use a lawyer to write a letter to Rivian about this to force them to replace your wheels under warranty. I’m sure there are a few of them on this forum.
  16. Wait.. we really don't need the jack pucks?

So true! I hate the jacking pucks because they introduce two more potential pivot points, which is dangerous. Used with a floor jack on a nice flat concrete garage floor, this is unlikely to be a problem. But on the side of the road or off road, where the surface can be sloping and/or soft...
  17. Comparison images: Rivian Drive Cam vs. Aftermarket Dash Cam (+ video samples added)

I agree that hit & runs are a big problem nowadays in California, both while parked and driving. I also agree with you that having good uninsured motorist insurance coverage is the best defense. Unfortunately in 2023 California, video footage is not going to help for most hit & runs. Video is...
  18. BFG 285/60/20 tires with 20" aftermarket wheels installed (+ blacked out badges & light bars tint)

That means that my rims stick out 24mm (~ 1 inch) to the outside further than the stock rims do. Because of this, my tires rub just a little bit on the outside edge. If my rims were +30mm offset, I’m pretty sure there’d be no rubbing.
