  1. Liftgate and Brake Light Damage

If you do manage to get a new piece of plexiglass in there let me know, that would be super interesting.
  2. Liftgate and Brake Light Damage

Oh, I never took the cover off. They told me the whole thing was one unit that couldn't be disassembled and by the time the quote came in the tape had been working well so I decided not to mess with it.
  3. Air Compressor Very Hot

thanks. Yeah all makes sense. it was a random situation that popped up, not a planned outing where I would have taken a high volume pump. I was mostly worried/wondering if breaking the onboard inflator would affect the suspension but it sounds like those are separate units. Not that I want to...
  4. Air Compressor Very Hot

I inflated a handfull of pool floaty type things, the vinyl loungers and whatnot. At one point the compressor took a break for a couple minutes. Didn't think much of it, but then when I went to unplug the hose the connector was super hot, too hot to touch. I wasn't using high pressure at all for...
  5. Discontinuation of 21” wheels

I feel like this has been the case for at least a year? Always "coming soon" but not quite here, suspicious of Michelin's fall date :)
  6. Car not preconditioning battery

Yes, once they added the data screen with battery temp to the drive mode screen I could see on the next road trip that when battery was approximately room temp (can't recall exact temp it seemed to hone in on) no conditioning, colder and the car would heat it up for pre-conditioning, if it was...
  7. Liftgate and Brake Light Damage

It almost seems like any piece of plexiglass could go in that spot as long as it was UV resistant
  8. Liftgate and Brake Light Damage

Oh that’s a great idea taping from the inside! Thanks for the info on the panel alignment.
  9. Liftgate and Brake Light Damage

Thanks for the reminder, I hadn't heard from them in a while, but I just looked and missed a message from them. Same for me, $6k to replace the entire liftgate including paint :( I really can't imagine doing it for that cost vs the $10 for a roll of tape that works well enough I completely...
  10. Bad Efficiency Getting Worse?

Have seen the same in R1S. down from mid 2s to high 1s. Guess it's likely running the heater on short trips.
  11. Lowrider Rivian R1S Build w/ Roof Rack and Cargo Box by Turn14 at SEMA 2023

Agree, I was confused about that. Also that much harder to reach

  13. Car not preconditioning battery

It says it on the navigation screen. It also gets loud, at least in the summer when it’s cooling the battery
  14. Car not preconditioning battery

It does. Clicked the rivian charger on the map and said go. Sounds like the weather is just too nice for precondition. I’ll take it ?
  15. Car not preconditioning battery

Recently my R1S has not been preconditioning the battery when I set a charger destination in the nav. I’m curious if this is because of mild temperatures (60s and 70s recently). Or perhaps because I’m not going past the charger, that is I’m setting the destination as the charger so it might...

Work In Progress, but we've been restoring the pond in our yard which is a habitat for native frogs. Recently hasn't been holding water, but getting it fixed up for more frogs next year. Still working on the plants and surrounding zone.
  17. Liftgate and Brake Light Damage

Turns out that whole upper piece is plastic so I don’t think it’s bent from the branch strike, and the gasket matches up fine. Hopefully just need that lens replaced. for now taped it up with some 3M auto repair tape that I hope will keep water out of there.
  18. Liftgate and Brake Light Damage

Oh no, I’m so sorry that sucks! Crossing my fingers for a better time.
  19. Liftgate and Brake Light Damage

We backed into a branch and it cracked the clear cover over the brake light on the top of the liftgate. It also maybe bent the liftgate where it meets the body, though I'm not totally sure what it was like before. When the car is on it blows a fairly strong stream of air out of the cracked...
  20. Rivian Update 2023.30.00 - One-Touch Garage Door Opener, Nav Enhancements, Text Address Sharing From Phone To Vehicle, EVgo Autocharge+ Support & More

Very excited for the target charging at planned stops. The time charging never was helpful as speeds vary so I always had to reroute on phone to get a real stopping point
