I know the battery is under the front passenger seat. Has anyone acessed the battery yet and have a procedure for what needs to be done to get to it?
I want to put a small battery monitor on it. I prefer to go directly to the battery leads vs another location that would be turned off when the...
Not bad at all I have the 1uP and it misses the bumper by a lot depending on how far you push it into the hitch receiver.
I did see the Quikr recently and it looks like very good rack. I would buy it if it fit the Rivian ok.
As someone else mentioned, it was designed by someone who left 1up
On my last F-150 I used the spare once in 70K miles. Our Honda Element has used the spare at least 4 times in 220K miles. In all the cases that I used the spare...VERY glad I had it.
Correct. A gas engine is between 20% and 30% efficient and he seems to think it’s 100%
I just don’t have enough time or crayons to explain it to him anymore.
Your math is WAY off. Assuming my R1t would get 20MPG with a gas engine and I get 2.5mi/Kwh, it would take 8 KWH to go 20 miles. Even at $0.68/Kwh, that's $5.44. I agree that's not great but far from $22. How did you even arrive at that?
It's interesting that our 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe plug in Hybrid comes with a spare but the regular hybrid version does not. There is still a spot for one including the jack so many people add one later.
First thing I did with our 2025 R1T is finda a used wheel and tire and buy a bottle jack, lug...
My skis are long enough that they wouldn't fit in the bed and when I am travelling, I don't have room in the bed for skis. Even if they did fit, I would prefer the edges of my skis not get damaged rubbing up against each other.
When I am done for the day I like to not to have wet skis in the...
There is a kit around that Yakima sells that is basically the same thing...if you can find it in stock.
Since I already have a 3D printer, its easier just to make the things myself.
Got around to doing the Yakima FatCat mounting using T-Bolts in the rails. Designed and 3D printed some spacers to lift the racks slightly off the crossbar.
Nice not having them sit so high compared to using the original craossbar mount that comes with the Yakima racks
I used 6mm x 35mm...
The 48A draw by the hardwired EV charger is under the ampacity of the wire and is under the 80% rule for the breaker.
I am an EE. It is well within specs and that is what ultimately matters.
