I paid 75k and my trade in is valued at 75k. I considered moving to a dual motor to maintain range and maybe gain efficiency but I’ll save the 15-20k for another day.
I have a 2010 wrangler and recall being upset when jeep added a storage tray on the dashboard. My next car was an r1s. all tech will evolve. looking forward to 2038
The amount of progress in 2 years makes me optimistic for r2 and r3. I know nothing about technology but 1st gen should have been thrown a bone on changing interior lights.
Hoping there will be an early adopter program to get 20 or 22. But looks like we are on the bleeding edge and not leading edge. My free wheels are not so free anymore.
Yes, I wish I had 1’ less of wiring and a smaller more efficient battery pack and a dimming roof. But I have enjoyed a car for $20k less than current retail and I have slightly more usable space in the frunk and soon to be extinct 21” rims.
My only regret is not getting launch green with forest...
Hopefully RJ has a recycling program for all of these 21” rims that are going to end up in a landfill..and hopefully we get preferential pricing on 20 or 22” rims.
I have an Anker solix f3800 backfed to my panel. Then I use the r1s to recharge the solix. Had to use it this week.

Is there any viability to owners having their own cables that plug into charging stations? I would think constant plugging/unplugging creates a potential fault as well.
I am anywhere from 3-6 miles per day. Left it in the garage one day while out of town and hit 8 miles. I keep the fob in a faraday bag for whatever that is worth.
