Another win for @jjswan33 ! I'm in the same boat with the out of warranty thought......Don't get me wrong I love my 2022 LE R1T and have loved it for most of it's 58k miles. That said I don't love the risk of out of warranty repairs that I may face when the B2B warranty runs out
So that Oct-Nov time frame for a new Tri-Motor is looking like a good time to upgrade... Lets hope that's a real timeline.
If at all... I still think keeping CCS and using adapter is a better play.Just noticed gen 2 still has ccs. NACS coming in 2028?
And for anyone that sees features they want in the G2, this is their upgrade path for those features. ?Don't get me wrong I love my 2022 LE R1T and have loved it for most of it's 58k miles. That said I don't love the risk of out of warranty repairs that I may face when the B2B warranty runs out

All these updates are really amazing and show how far Rivian has come. That being said, as a Gen1 owner, I am disappointed that we aren’t getting the blind spot screen despite having the cameras and hardware. Yes I know they point in a lower direction, but for being early adopters, I think this is something that should’ve been there from the start. Having a system that doesn’t engage till 20mph is ridiculous today. Our 22 Model Y has it and it has been fantastic especially in traffic. The same is with ambient like. Other Gen 1 owners I’ve met feel the same. It’d be good to get a gauge of other Gen 1 owners feelYes, I wish I had 1’ less of wiring and a smaller more efficient battery pack and a dimming roof. But I have enjoyed a car for $20k less than current retail and I have slightly more usable space in the frunk and soon to be extinct 21” rims.
My only regret is not getting launch green with forest interior as they will be extinct soon enough.
We're getting the blind spot camera functionality. Not sure where this rumor started that we're not. Link takes you to the interview with Wassym where he confirms it.All these updates are really amazing and show how far Rivian has come. I agree....keep the vehicle CCS and just use adapters when using Tesla chargers. If at all... I still think keeping CCS and using adapter is a better play.
