Nope - my guy said he doesn't recommend it so I got a shade for it. I'm skeptical of the whole "tint can make the roof shatter" thing, because i've never seen it actually happen, but I didn't want to be the first.
I turn traction fully off, stand of the brake, floor the loud pedal (lol) and let it rip. I just wish the top speed limiter was higher so it could run the full 1/4 mile.
I went from TRX to R1T and would never go back! The Rivian is way faster, handles way better and has just as much utility. It also grabs way more attention than my TRX did if that matters. My TRX wasn't stock either. The ONLY thing I miss is the interior size of the TRX, but the Rivian certainly...
My R1T was this way and there's nothing abnormal about it. My guess is certain ones get kicked off the line waiting for a paint correction or part and it just takes a while to get them back in line. Rivian also knows that 99% of buyers will have no idea the VIN is out of order.
I have an R1T and a Model Y. R1T is actually now significantly better than the Model Y. The only con is that autopilot works on all roads whereas Driver + is not. The roads you mentioned it will be fine though.
Model Y performance at 54k is a steal. If I qualified for the tax credit I would very likely buy one and save the money over my Rivian and see what plays out over the next year or so.
I'd go with the recons over the ridges for weight difference alone. I've ran both and honestly couldn't tell much of a difference. Recons were slightly quieter.
Good to know they'll come out to the house for a tire rotation. I can't get them to come to the house for a rattle in the passenger rear door. I'm done taking the truck to orlando for things, it ends up being 4 hours of my time for drop off and pick up each.
