  1. Using HVAC with Campstream One?

I’ve always left the unit outside my tent… it needs to be kept upright for the condensate hose to drain properly. The hose creates quite a bit of condensation as well so be aware of that when you route it. It’s worked great for me in sweltering heat and humidity. YMMV.
  2. Using HVAC with Campstream One?

This is my summer setup for A/C: This setup works great... I typically use shore power or R1T AC outlet to avoid having to charge the unit batteries. It'll freeze you out of the RTT... and provide some moderation in the Annex Plus tent enclosure.
  3. When to proactively replace the 12V batteries before they fail??

So, if ElectraFi indicates idle in lieu of sleeping, does that mean the HV is charging the 12V batteries? How many hours per day should the R1 be sleeping vs. idle? Thanks
  4. When to proactively replace the 12V batteries before they fail??

I watched the YT video of the vendor changing the dual 12V batteries in a Gen1 R1T...it looked very straight forward but there appeared to be several comments from people that they couldn't clear the error codes after installing the Ohmmu batteries.
  5. Adjustment Warranty: Buyer Beware

Has the warranty guide changed much over the years? I was surprised to see the Rivian Warranty Guide have so many iterations based on your effective date... but of course, didn't have the patience to compare different versions. https://rivian.com/support/article/new-vehicle-limited-warranty-guide
  6. When to proactively replace the 12V batteries before they fail??

This may be the most useful application of the Electrafi data... monitor how many 12V battery "cycles" are being charged/depleted per week. I've never had excessive phantom drain, but I plug in every night. I might subscribe to Electrafi for a few months and monitor the sleep cycles before I...
  7. When to proactively replace the 12V batteries before they fail??

My Gen1 Quad has a warranty of 36 months / 36K miles for the 12V batteries - whichever happens first. Not sure if this has changed on later models. You can look up your specific warranty policy for your model year here: https://rivian.com/support/article/new-vehicle-limited-warranty-guide
  8. When to proactively replace the 12V batteries before they fail??

What are the thoughts of the Forum about if/when to proactively replace the 12V batteries before you get a warning message or failure? My R1T is now 30 months old with about 33K miles... do you schedule an appointment to replace them at the expiration of the 3YR/36K mile warranty? ...or do...
  9. Kammok x Rivian Crosswing Awning Launched on Kammok

I've used the Yakima Slim Shady pull out awning and it works easy on the Rivian crossbar mounts... less than $500! Not certain about the feature/quality difference between it and the Kammok, but that's a significant price difference for the same functional performance.
  10. Solution: Downloading Music on Spotify

this worked for me also. The downloaded albums appear in Library under the playlists tab.
  11. Question on charging at Tesla superchargers

In certain areas, I have found PlugShare to include compatible chargers (DCFC and LVL 2) that do not show up on the Rivian app or center screen. If planning a trip - or in a remote spot - I'll cross reference with PlugShare to ensure a comprehensive listing.
  12. No More Rivian Plant Factory Tours

I did the pick up and tour in Sep 2022... at that time, they had capacity to do about 6-8 vehicle pickups per day and our tour was limited to a morning or afternoon session with 3-4 people in each tour. There was no delivery showroom - they just pulled your new vehicle to the front driveway...
  13. No More Rivian Plant Factory Tours

I enjoyed the tour back in Fall of 2022… we stayed on the catwalk which eliminated any safety issues. I suspect it might be confidentiality issues. I’ve been in a lot of manufacturing facilities in my line of work and it is not uncommon for them to ban photos and require NDA documents. This gets...
  14. Roof rack wind deflector

I use the Yakima SkinnyWarrior cargo basket on top of my RT1 roof crossbars occasionally. It does have a wind fairing but still creates a bit of a whistle noise at higher speeds.
  15. Good app for keeping track of charging?

If you sync ABRP with your Rivian, it can automatically record and save your mapped routes, speed, temperature, elevation change, battery SOC, power, mi/kWH, etc., of each drive. In addition, it will save stats from any charges (SOC, voltage, power, temperature)
  16. HVAC settings recommendations while parked and waiting in car

I may be the exception, but I’ve left my HVAC in auto for 2+ years and have always been comfortable during 4 seasons, while driving, parked or pet mode. YMMV.
  17. Auto Wipers - I just don't get it

It disables automatic high beams until you return the stalk to the forward position - which returns it to auto mode. I use this frequently when the automatic mode starts flashing too much due to traffic. I agree that messing with the headlight rocker switch while driving is not easy or safe.
  18. Auto Wipers - I just don't get it

You can temporarily disable the automatic high beams by pulling and releasing the signal stalk...no need to fiddle with the headlight switch settings.
