OP, I have the same issues. Sometimes it will engage sometimes it won't. It will also turn off seemingly randomly. Recently it did a hard brake for some unknown reason and it was pretty dangerous.
We are looking to replace our 15 y/o Honda Fit and this looks like a nice option. Too bad no deliveries for a year. In general I'd like more small but nicely decked out options.
I don't know if it was on this thread but definitely on this forum. I saw someone put the crossbar through the bike frame for added security. I have done it multiple times now. It's pretty fast and easy. The problem is that with a cordless grinder pretty much anything can be cut very quickly.
I like ABRP but last time I tried planning a trip with it they ignored RAN stations. All my R1T info is in ABRP, is there a way to use RANs when planning a trip?
Please explain. Does it require a smart garage door opener? I have asked her to open my garage door that is programmed into my R1T and she couldn't do it.
Thanks
I hate that I like it. I won't replace my Raceface pad (that I bought used) unless the Rivian one is very competitively priced. Mine will stay on for the summer and ever since going through a hail storm that beat up my hood I'm a little less precious about the paint.
It is a bummer we can't charge at the factory. I had to charge in Bloomington IL and the EA at Walmart was packed. I had to wait for a charger then only got moderate charging rates with all stalls busy.
I started with a 2 bike pad and went for the full one. I'm using the medium Raceface T2. The R1T's fat tailgate is a pain but it works. Most of the reason I upgraded from the 2 bike version was to protect the tailgate. The truck is high enough and the gate fat enough that getting 2 on the...
Re: bikes in the bed
I have a FS 29er (SC Hightower if that helps) and need to take off both wheels to get it in the bed. Not ideal at all. I'm using a tailgate pad. I usually loop a bungee cord from the top of the bed mounts around the seatpost so they don't move around.
Sorry. I just saw this. I just keep the tailgate flap out of the way when closing the gate. When installing or removing the pad I use a bungee strap to hold the flap out of the way.
I had my windshield replaced and then had to bring the truck back because the automatic wipers weren't working at all. Apparently they hadn't calibrated the sensors when they installed the glass. After the calibration the wipers work better than with the original windshield. If you ever have to...
