As a Volvo owner/fan, I welcome this news as it is another BEV offering from a safety minded brand. But can say I will not be swayed from Rivian by an electric 3 row crossover.
1) Based on cost of xc90 hybrid, I expect this vehicle to be around $100k. Some of you may be approaching that with...
I agree the range hit should be minimal. So why make it optional this late?
I admittedly know nothing about manufacturing vehicles, but what if the addition of the off road package increases build time to such a degree that offering the LE without it, could result in them getting significantly...
I will start by saying I am not an LE holder so free wheel upgrade was not an option. I originally configured 20s on the R1S, also thinking about future tire options, but switched to the 21s. My thinking is the majority of my driving will be asphalt(21s will have better range), and for the $1800...
I pushed back on him over this, as I had not heard this confirmed anywhere else. He pointed out that the second row seat image, front view has a blue bar under the seat. He said that is the release to slide it forward or back without lowering the seat back. This jives with how the second row...
Hahaha. I was incredibly surprised by this as well. I think it depends on the day and your CS agent. I have been requesting this information for weeks and prior to yesterday received the same “good question, I will have to look into that, but the information is not currently available to me”...
I am in insurance and actually work for the company that is “on your side”. You should strongly consider a new and independent agent. If they work with Nationwide, you will be able to quote the Rivian specific Nationwide policy against other options and have your agent weigh in on which is best...
-Understood
-Agreed
-There is a lot of overlap and off topic discussion across this forum. Same is true of just about every forum though.
-Have a good one.
I couldn’t find anything on the forums or Rivian website about whether Rivian would be latch system compatible and locations. Also couldn’t find an appropriate thread for this so mods feel free to move if it belongs somewhere else.
CS emailed me these diagrams for the R1S, so I figured I would...
OP isn’t asking for or providing a comparison between R1S and the Lightning, he is asking if Ford will produce an SUV version of the Lightning or if there are other 3 row equivalents to the R1S.
I was wondering the same thing about the F-150 in a forum a few days back. Back when they released the original lightning, the considered releasing an expedition equivalent called Expedition Thunder. Never produced, but it would seem to be a wise move on the part of Ford to make an EV Expedition...
I wonder how many are buying the R1S for the three rows vs. other reasons. It seems there are a fair number of people that prefer the 5 seater to the 7 seat option. It might be that the smaller crossover style ev suvs are more than enough space and performance for those that want an suv. When...
Wonder if the are going to finally build the Lightning’s SUV sibling, the Expedition Thunder. I am amazed that among all this ev truck fever, only Rivian has chosen to make a SUV companion to their truck. Maybe less of us need a 3 row suv than I originally thought.
