I’m waiting for something similar. I would love to have proximity folding mirrors or even Alexa control of the mirrors so that I can fold them when I arrive home and before I pull into the garage.

that’s great range! I stopped keeping track but I love having conserve as an “insurance policy” if I need some extra. Just spent the long weekend in Crested Butte and Salida - truck was incredible up Schofield pass to 401 and up the long dirt road to Doctor Park in Almont. All my buddies...
  6. Rivian R1T tailgate pad installed review: it's a winner (with a caveat)

This makes more sense AND is secure (strap doesn't slide) but is totally counterintuitive - leave it to Rivian to complicate a design! Maybe they thought this would be more secure/easier to use than velcro? I'm just not sure here. Thanks for posting the "instructions" that I never knew I...
  7. Rivian R1T tailgate pad installed review: it's a winner (with a caveat)

This defeats the purpose of buying a tailgate pad in the first place, meaning it should hold the bikes in place with no additional tie downs needed. It should be totally unnecessary to secure your bike in any other method besides the tailgate pad itself.
  8. Rivian R1T tailgate pad installed review: it's a winner (with a caveat)

The entire point of buying a tailgate pad is so I don't have to use additional things (bungy cords, tie downs, etc) to secure my bike. Every other pad on the market works just fine - how could Rivian fail their design in the 1 single place the bike actually contacts the tailgate pad? The pad I...
  9. Rivian R1T tailgate pad installed review: it's a winner (with a caveat)

So whats the secret with locking the straps that hold on the bikes? Honestly, seems like a bad design and seems like they just loosen up. See this video as well: (1) Tailgate pad problem : Rivian (reddit.com) I'm not thrilled with this setup...
  10. Rivian R1T tailgate pad installed review: it's a winner (with a caveat)

Just got mine as well. Very impressed overall and looks/fits great. My only “complaint” if I had one was that I was surprised to see the backer is not an ultra soft micro fiber type fabric, but more of an EVA soft foam. I think it will stay cleaner and not trap dirt, but it doesn’t seem as...
  11. Received my manual tonneau cover and the slats already broke

Wow this must be costing Rivian bunches of return shipping fees and scrapped broken tonneau parts. Still waiting for mine!
  12. Using Rally Mode on-road

I find Rally Mode to be the most amazing setting in terms of comfort - it feels like a mag-lev train. I don't use it as often as I should, but it's the suspension setting that has the best feel IMO.

You didn't have to pay extra for the 20" AT tires or the Launch green color? That seems odd, thought those were upcharges. Also looks like the Doc fee increased. Mine was $225 earlier this year, now it's $450?

no if you filled out the BPA you are fine
  15. The @blinker.fluid El Cap Granite R1T delivery/spec/build/journal ...

When my stock Pirelli tires wear out (which is likely to be soon given the tread depth I saw at first rotation 7,500 miles) I will plan to install these tires on my 22's!
  16. R1T Tailgate Pad arrives in the Gear Shop

Looks awesome! Mine is supposed to arrive tomorrow and I leave in the morning for a MTB trip to Crested Butte - the mecca! It's probably not going to get here in time to use it...
