  1. Update 2023.34.0 -- Improved Handling & Ride Comfort, Phone Call Steering Wheel Functions, Set Speed for ACC / HWA, 25% Better Sleep Range Loss

Well I just did a 12 hour test, from about 7pm to 7am in my garage Gear Guard Off at home. Very happy with results. Lost 1 mile of range and used 0.6 kWh. This seems like a pretty big improvement.
  2. Update 2023.34.0 -- Improved Handling & Ride Comfort, Phone Call Steering Wheel Functions, Set Speed for ACC / HWA, 25% Better Sleep Range Loss

But the drain is apparently only fixed when at home and Gear Guard is off or set to off at home. Have you tested? Improved range loss by more than 25% during sleep when the vehicle is home and Gear Guard is set to Off at Home, or when Gear Guard is disabled.
  3. Update 2023.34.0 -- Improved Handling & Ride Comfort, Phone Call Steering Wheel Functions, Set Speed for ACC / HWA, 25% Better Sleep Range Loss

Most of the commentary on this update is the about the ride quality. Has anyone tested the supposed improvement of 25% on vampire drain at home?
  4. Jeep Wagoneer S / 400 mile range / 0-60 in 3.5 seconds

The problem is we need a 7-seater SUV (and prefer captains seats in the middle row) BUT there are virtually no PHEV 7-seat SUVs that I'm aware of on the market.
  5. Camp Speaker Wakes When Truck Sleeps

Correct. And my speaker will randomly unlock or I will notice that the lights on the speaker are on and I'll check the battery and it's drained. Or I'll hear the "pairing" sound from outside the car randomly when I walk into my garage.
  6. Jeep Wagoneer S / 400 mile range / 0-60 in 3.5 seconds

I'm personally waiting for the Grand Wagoneer 4xe plug-in hybrid that would be a great complement to the R1T. My wife is anxiously wanting to replace her ICE SUV but don't think it makes sense to go fully electric on our fleet quite yet.
  7. How has the 2023.34.0 Update changed the ride of your Rivian? [Vote in poll]

Agree with this. I like the low speed bumps better, but prefer the suspension feel of the stiff better.
  8. How has the 2023.34.0 Update changed the ride of your Rivian? [Vote in poll]

I've had the chance to drive a bunch in my R1T and would agree here. Seems the update has massively improved the R1S, and only marginally improved or perhaps made slightly worse the R1T depending on your preferences. The R1T is MUCH more compliant over small bumps, it's like the old Rally Mode...
  9. Received manual tonneau cover today...YAY!!!!...oh no... damaged during shipping

STILL waiting for my tonneau, thought I would have it this summer, that ship has sailed, now I just hope to get it in time for ski season.
  10. 20" or 22" wheels for snow tires?

Good thread here: Snow performance check-in....focus on tires. | Rivian Forum - R1T R1S R2 News, Specs, Models, RIVN Stock -- Rivianforums.com I have Michelin X-Ice tires I plan to run Nov-Apr here in Colorado and just do a tire swap with the OEM tires until they wear out. Once they do...
  11. Update 2023.34.0 -- Improved Handling & Ride Comfort, Phone Call Steering Wheel Functions, Set Speed for ACC / HWA, 25% Better Sleep Range Loss

This is pretty much where I am at. If you didn't tell me there was an improvement I probably wouldn't have noticed it. You guys who are noticing huge improvements are much more in-tune drivers than I am! I don't notice much difference at all at low speeds. At higher speeds, it does feel a...

  16. Rivian R1T tailgate pad installed review: it's a winner (with a caveat)

It takes about 10 seconds with the way the 4 clips are designed. It's much easier than my old pad to put on and remove.
  17. Rivian R1T tailgate pad installed review: it's a winner (with a caveat)

Yes, I don't ever see a use case where I would have both, other than if I'm traveling and have bikes on a rack but like to use a tailgate pad for shuttling to trails. Just did this last weekend, where I had my tailgate pad on with my bike rack, took the rack off when we got to our destination...
  18. Have you gotten your manual tonneau cover?

Just talked to Rivian and my manual tonneau is "pending fulfillment" but they can't tell me anything additional. Just waiting at this point.
