So I am thinking of getting the tailgate pad and that has me thinking about the gear guard cable for when the bikes are in my bed. They advertise that the core is braided steel with a nylon cover, but how secure / strong are the ends? Are they metal or just plastic? I.E. If i was a thief, would i just snap or cut the end vs trying to cut the actual cable?
Any input would be appreciated.
