You are correct on the first two - but lane centering is called highway assist. There is also adaptive cruise control - maintains speed and distance from the car in front of you
Driver+ is the branding for all those features...
but the larger point of just being wasteful still holds. Like someone else (I think) said that $165 a year is basically one month of electricity that I'm wasting.
I think for me it works out to be about $165 a year ($0.15 / kWh * 3 * 365), but your point is still well taken. I hadn't even considered the costs associated with it - basically pissing electrons onto the ground.
I finally saw one on the road today (outside of Normal, saw a bunch on the road in Normal). It was a midnight R1T here in Tigard about 4-5 blocks from my house. I was too excite to wave, I could only honk my horn (I was in my truck at the time, they other folks waved).
I'm a new EV owner, so I am genuinely asking - why is 2-3 kWh/day of drain killer? Wouldn't it take like 40 days to fully drain the battery at that rate?
Also, does charging at home obviate the issue.
One of the things I'm concerned about is leaving my truck at the airport for a 10 day trip...
Are y'all finding the root to be excessively hot? On my long road trip I had some upper 80's days, and the roof was never an issue. The windshield and front windows on the other hand really let the heat through.
Sany Munro's offroading video has the flag mounted to the tow hooks. I like the use of the pipe insulation to protect the paint - although I'm surprised he cares about that based on the way he beats the heck out of the truck in this video.
ETA:
This question kind of came up in another thread, but I wanted to call it out.
Right now my truck refuses to connect to WiFi - I even installed a new 2.4Ghz router very close to the truck to try and address this (I do have a service call open, and am waiting to hear back).

I removed the back cross bar, so getting it out wasn't too bad. The center bolt can be unscrewed to make this step easier. The real challenge was getting it mounted. It was trivial with two people but a real challenge by myself.
I used the included jack, and was surprised how well it worked. I...
