  1. Road Trip: Normal to Portland after factory delivery pickup

I loved it in stop and go traffic, it really shined there, but when it was not great it was REALLY not great and actually caused various degrees of panic and I think was genuinely unsafe at least 3 times.
  2. Driver+ Is not up to snuff: My thoughts after a 2,200 mile road trip

I just finished driving my truck from the factory in Normal to my home near Portland over 2,200 highway miles over three days, and by far the biggest disappointment was the driver+ system. I'm going to share some thoughts, but would love to hear other people's opinions. As I said in the linked...
  3. Road Trip: Normal to Portland after factory delivery pickup

Hey all - sorry for going dark :) I was putting in long days and without a laptop charger (it went back with my wife) i didn't feel like trying to do updates on my phone. I drove from Lexington NE over 70 into Salt Lake City on Wednesday. Then SLC to Portland yesterday. 2,292 miles Average...
  4. WFF (work from forest) setup

Anyone thought about using a WeBoost w/ the Rivian - specifically to boost the LTE reception the vehicle already has? Or I guess you could use it to boost your cell and hotspot your truck off your phone.
  5. Road Trip: Normal to Portland after factory delivery pickup

Yep. currently in nebraska but headed through CO and Utah into Oregon.
  6. Road Trip: Normal to Portland after factory delivery pickup

This will be a mess as i am on my phone using voice to text. I got to stop by the factory this morning before I headed out of town. They let me walk around a catwalk above the factory floor where I could see parts of the R1 line as well as parts of the Amazon EDV line. Very cool indeed. As...
  7. Road Trip: Normal to Portland after factory delivery pickup

Background: I had told my guide half jokingly that I'd even fly to Normal and drive my truck back to Oregon if that was what it was going to take to get one into my driveway asap. He said, he'd look into it - and then told we could make it work. I Day 0: I picked up my R1T at the factory today...
  8. State of Charge : How fast does the R1T Charge? Full Analysis

Have they made that claim where it wasn't connected to something about RAN? Just wondering if RAN chargers will behave differently (or the truck behaving differently)
  9. PNW Roll Call

Found the address: 2727 St. Helens Road if you want the best chance of seeing anything go during normal business hours as the facility has s high fence with fabric that blocks the view.
  10. Not liking one pedal driving

Maybe if someone is new to regen braking, but if you do it correctly you just start slow down as you modulate speed - to the driver behind you it should look no differently than me slowing down by gently pressing down the brake to reduce speed. If someone is new to regen braking and they just...
  11. Disappointed Again

Oh sure, that make sense. Not sure why my brain couldn't compute that scenario. ETA: The only part that would deviate from what i was told is that under "documents" along with the check I have to enter the tracking number for the delivery. Maybe that's why I was confused.
  12. Disappointed Again

Don't think that's possible. Might be an Oregon thing or a lie, but i was told they had to have proof of payment 24 hits before delivery which is a picture of the church and a tracking number for its delivery.
  13. Poll: Time From Guide Contact to Delivery

Not my experience. I had a VIN abs delivery date after only doing the first two steps (i had no trade in). i still haven't done financing and payment.
  14. PNW Roll Call

St Helens Road right off HWY 30 - can't recall the exact address but it's pretty easy to spot
  15. LAUNCH GREEN R1T Photos

That's what I am picking up next week. The wheels are a stone cold rip off at $3500 but they are badass plus this was the truck i could get now.
  16. May/June Deliveries Thread

Update: When last we left our hero, he had been offered and accepted two trucks, only to have them both yanked out from under him. However, the guide texted back and said the 2nd truck was in fact available (LE LG FE Dark 20s Shield) and I could pick it up in Normal or they could ship it to...
  17. RJ Shows interior of R1S (Canyon Red)

That's my R1S config that i should see in 2025
  18. Should I fly out to Normal (from Portland) to pick up my truck?

there are no incentives in Oregon, but even if there were there shouldn't be any affect as it's being registered and titled in Oregon. The mileage doesn't much matter - 2,000 miles is 2,000 miles regardless of when it happens.
