  1. Court hears Buick dealer bid to kill Rivian service center

Zoom feed would have been fine if a Mazda Dealer was in the fight.
  2. Uh, you're gonna need a bigger garage!

Black hole that CT can tow will take care of anything in your way
  3. Rivian Elevation audio system - in house design change began February 2023?

I am an audiophile and I really enjoy the Meridian sound system. Is it the last word in bass response - no, but the sins are of omission rather than commission. Far better than having more bass volume or extension at the price of bloat and lack of articulation. Doing that well with low...
  4. Got my new r1t!

Congratulations and welcome to the forum.
  5. Damage results from 7K lbs R1T vs Civic in collision

Glad no one was hurt and interactions were civil. It must be enormously frustrating to have this happen so soon after taking ownership. Hope it all gets resolved properly for you.
  6. Maybe won over a few EV skeptics by running my R1T at a driving course

I would imagine that giving anyone a “launch” ride would put politics aside. Sounds like your approach was effective advocacy.
  7. SE Michigan Owners?

I remember rustic camping with the kids years ago at the top of the thumb in a state park. It was beautiful. Our campsite had bushes at the back of it. If you walked through, you were on the beach with a view north up the bay. Kids had a great time.
  8. Wait is over. Picked up Compass Yellow R1S beauty after 2.5 years

The yellow and black accents complement each other really well. Congratulation!
  9. SE Michigan Owners?

The DTE trail is organized as 4 connected loops in Waterloo State Park (largest in lower peninsula). The Green Lake loop accessed from the M52 trailhead is 5 miles, pretty flat and the beginner trail for bikes (even seen kids on striders on there). It won best beginner mountain bike trail in MI...

  11. SE Michigan Owners?

It’s fun to be by some of the few windy roads in SE MI. My bike (Triumph Tiger Explorer) enjoys them too. It’s also a favorite spot for the auto journos to come and play, so we see some nice toys going by too. Just passed through your old stomping grounds taking the kid back to Pontiac via...
  12. Closing the spare tire cover

Mine’s pretty difficult to close too. Even if slammed, it tends to only latch on the left requiring a whack on the right to get that side to latch. Just changed a tire and it took 3 or 4 goes to get latched.
  13. Twraps is awesome! PPF installed DIY photos

@opnwide you can purchase PPF in rolls of various widths pretty cheaply on amazon etc. It’s also called helicopter tape and racer’s tape. I have some roles that I bought for protecting mountain bike frames that should work for this fine. It should stick provided you clean the surface with...
  14. Pelican/Roam type Rugged Case Organizers

Have you considered the Milwaukee Packout storage? More expensive, for sure, but modular and many (tool oriented) storage options.
  15. SE Michigan Owners?

Nowhere near as far as Traverse City, but being on the other side of Hell, this will be about twice as far as Plymouth.
  16. Powered running boards from AMP - Incoming?

I had one of these back in the 90’s (not as bling as this one; rebuilt front suspension many times):
  17. SE Michigan Owners?

I hope they keep the Plymouth location
  18. Rivian Stock Really Costs 19 Cents. Investors Shouldn’t Forget Cash.

Bought some more at $13 bringing average down to $17.01. I disagree with the statement that cash isn’t part of EV. The professional valuations that I’ve seen calculate NPV from projected cash flows discounted by weighted average cost of capital. They then subtract debt and add back in cash and...
