I been looking at this one: https://a.co/d/c1IJXAD
We have 7 passengers - 5 kids including teenagers and toddlers. Think we’ll need the extra cargo space on longer trips.
So I have a BPA signed, within the AGI/80k limits, and taking delivery July-Sept 2023 supposedly. Would I amend my 2022 tax return after delivery OR claim it on 2023? I have no other EV purchases to claim.
My wife will be going from MX to R1S. Been trying to be optimistic, but there are some unique things about the MX she loves that she won't have on the R1S:
- Self presenting doors. She thought this was the stupidest feature when I told her about it when purchasing. Now she loves it since she...
I'm not seeing anything about using the crossbars in the trunk. Also not seeing anything about limiting the lift gate. I'm real worried it'll hit my garage door when I open the trunk.
If battery modules are catching fire at the factory this has me concerned for a Bolt EV situation. At least their batteries come from Samsung and not LG...but hopefully not from the Note 7 battery designers though.
My suspicion is once a 2 row R1S is shown, it'll have a shallow storage cavity where the 3rd row typically goes. Just like the rear storage compartment, it'll make a flat surface when covered. That's how they do it in the Model Y and Model X. I don't expect the R1S to be any different.
The video of the slow maps reminds me of Tesla MCU1. MCU2 is much snappier. That said, I would love to know what CPU/GPU/SoC and platform they're using under the hood. I think a lot of us would rest assured if we knew how much horsepower thing this was packing and could indeed confirm it was...
Would much rather the employees get the first builds that probably have some quality issues as they ramp up/perfect processes. Can you imagine all the YouTube videos of stuff falling off/breaking if it went to actual customers?
I love the doors. I'm probably in a minority on it though. If you have any kids in car seats in the middle section it is amazing. As a tall person, I usually have to hunch over and slide the kids into a car seat and have some trouble reaching over/around the child to buckle seat belts with...
I have an X. I've driven down the middle of our neighborhood street with the doors open and kids in back laughing out butts off. Now, it beeps annoyingly when you're in drive with the doors open. There's another video on YouTube of a dude crashing his into his own garage (link below). You...
And queue the pissed of people not getting guide/delivery contacts. I'm excited to see some people take ownership and what the car really looks like inside and out in final form.
Switched back to the 21s today once I saw you can take the aero insert out and they look pretty good.
I think there will be more tire options in 2 or 3 years when I wear this set of 21s out. We'll see!
