IMO, Tesla one over Rivian.
cheaper, thinner (more pliable) cord, more future proof with built in adapter.
the app is nothing special but if you plan on using Superchargers on the discount plan, you’ll manage it all in one place.
This has been my experience using PAAK as well (hit or miss). So, I got annoyed and removed the phone altogether and tried a few days of the fob. It was OK but I missed all the features in the app. Back to using PAAK and living with it.
TBF, 12V drain was also an issue on the Alfa I owned. It was all over the forums but I didn't experience it in my 3yrs of ownership.
But... reading stuff like this and the hassles that come with sparse service centers + long waits, has me thinking it might just be better to put the Ohmmu LFP...
Just for fun, when I picked up my R1T in Gaithersburg, I got there via Septa->Amtrak->DC Metro. It wasn't that bad. :D 3.5hrs total, which is sadly decent given how bad I-95 can get.
SE PA here but for reference; 60A breaker, 25' 6AWG wire, Tesla Universal direct wired outdoors - install was $1250.
The price of wire is a big variable. The Tesla charger is great.
Nevermind QM vs DM, this is the one that confuses me. People say the DM and PDM are exact same hardware yet there's posts with differences. I can only assume it's a unit-to-unit luck of the draw instead of P vs D thing.
I have to give Tesla credit where it's due > I kept telling myself "maybe in 10 years" about getting an EV.
I had a Tesla for a rental in January and liked the experience so much, I bought a Rivian a month later.
How do you ensure it charges via Tesla app vs Rivian plug & charge (for the discounted rate)?
I *think the answer is initiate in the Tesla app first, before plugging into vehicle and wait for prompts, correct?
