I got the ceramic roof tint, but on hot days it's still a giant glass panel that's too hot to touch; the radiated heat is very noticeable. I got a reflector shield and that made a big difference.
This. They are running CV/ML stack on 5 video streams at the same time, so unless they seriously beef up the GPU they need to lower the resolution to keep up with minimum frame rates. Not just driving, I'm pretty sure Gear Guard is camera-motion activated, too.
I grew up in Philly--great city! One time I got mugged at a bus stop near a Wawa and I used a Big Mac for self defense shortly before becoming a rope in a literal tug of war between strangers pulling me by the arms onto a Septa bus while the mayo-face and his bros were pulling me by the feet...
IMO, the best solution for now is to input the desired charger/stop as your destination. The nav will definitely improve over time, let's stop beating the dead screen projection horse..
I wish they would program the steering wheel scroll/buttons to be able to adjust the regen on the fly. Lowering regen via the touchscreen can be outright dangerous--imagine going downhill into a turn and hitting slick surface.
It sounds like Rivian will be prioritizing new orders with manual tonneau over those that have the no tonneau option with rails installed.. Bummer, was hoping to snag the cover from the Shop before 2024.

I believe L3 already exists today with NVIDIA Drive integration in the latest Merc EQS, with more coming in the next few years from Volvo, Jag/Rover, Hyundai, Xpeng, Nio, Polestar, BYD, Lucid, and others.
Once we establish secure protocols for communicating between vehicles and infrastructure, we won't have to rely on sensors nearly as much on the roads. CV and AI is key to handling everything else. I reckon USS, radar, lidar, etc will be relegated to auxiliary safely systems for low-speed or...
If you believe taxed money is YOUR money, USA is not a country for you! And don't even think about moving to Europe or Canada, they will rip your wallet a new one with all their socialist agendas.
I believe PAAK works offline over Bluetooth, but the app remote features (door unlock, climate, etc) require internet, so it could be an issue with the server, network, or the vehicle itself.
My favorite pic is the first one I ever took during an attempted delivery. I was so excited I ran out after work and left the check at home LOL. It was raining hard all day and miraculously stopped as soon as I pulled into El Segundo SC.
