I did a 100 mile drive in a Model X *from* the Tesla service center after picking up my "fixed" vehicle for the 5th time....at a max speed of 47 MPH. It would not go faster and I had no other way to get home. I thought 47 was bad, but 19 would quadruple the frustration.
I bought it "used" since I needed something ASAP to replace my 2023 Model X that was a lemon. (that I waited 1.5 years for after ordering). Now it is time for some PPF, tint, and possibly running boards so my toddlers can get in!

As an MX owner for the past 7 months, I would avoid that car like the plague....and ESPECIALLY because it has the falcon wing doors. I thought those were cool too, until I had to use them daily with two toddlers. Getting them to open all the way is a numbers game (and this is with no...
BINGO.
For another data point, on one of my prior Model S's, I actually set the amps to 7 for nearly 24 hours because of a bad circuit that was causing so much voltage sag at 12 amps that I was concerned about overheating a wire (10 volt drop). Those 7 amps resulted in about 1 mile of charging...
33% does not take into account the charging overhead that doesn't increase with the additional amperage. It's certainly more than a 33% increase in power actually going into the battery.
P.S. 124 volts at my house . 249 across the 240 with no load.
Emporia makes a great charger that comes with a 14-50 plug AND can be hardwired too so you can switch it later as needed. I've been using one for a year. Their app has tons of usage data and alerts too.
Jan 2023 order. I got the email...and it has literally no ETA on it. When I placed the order, it said late 2024. Based on some comments above, that seems extremely unlikely now.
Yes. Google maps becomes completely unusable. Can't even open the app. Can't search for anything. Can't set a destination. Only solution is stopping the car and turning it off. It's terrible.
Honestly, it is similar to most automakers infotainment systems (besides Rivian and Tesla that I know...
I am not an apple user, but getting into a rental car and plugging in my android phone and seeing it connect to android auto instills rage in me. I don't want my phone locked and unable to be used any time it is plugged in. Having to bring a cigarette lighter charger just to keep the phone from...
I have another data point. My Model X has just sat at the service center (again) since 2/27 and I am picking it up tonight. 87% charge on 2/27 as per a screenshot I took of the app that day, and now it is at 20%. Sentry is turned off. It's literally sat with no activity for 15 days...and lost...
I doubt it is broken. I have owned three Model S's and one Model X. All lost a few percent a day at minimum. The best was my 2016 Model S before they added all the cameras. That one lost ~3% a day. My 2019 S and 2023 X both will die in under a month from 80%.
Well, my wife and I just ordered an R1S...for trail running purposes too...after lemoning a Model X that was falling apart on us. It is gonna be a long wait!
P.S. Nice YTD vert. LOL!
