I have been thinking about getting a winch to the rear. Something portable using the tow receiver + cradle. But the battery for it and how to get it powered has put me in pause.
But the one you linked seems even more portable and no cradle needed, and obviously no battery in exchange for some...
If you intend to go offroad and want to add additional protection to your body sides you need Rock Sliders.
If you are looking for something that just makes access to the vehicle easier (i.e steps) you need Running Boards.
Awesome, I am thinking of going the SMUD route and just selling my Rivian Wall Charger. $700 for that install is not that bad. Do you know how far was then run to the actual install spot from your panel?
We need to get together so you can share your electrician contact. :^)
Maybe a trip to...
I would be interested in Rock Slider and Brush Guard in black. Not sure I am a fan of the shiny ones though. But thanks for giving us options. ?
If you can make Rock Sliders similar to your Running Boards/Steps it would be great. Yours seem to have edge to edge coverage. Not sure why some other...
True, the thing that worries me the most is the Air Suspension after 5 years of ownership. I know in Mercedes Air Suspension models that has been a historical low reliability problem.
Do Teslas have Air Suspension in their higher models? How's the reliability of their system has been?
What kind of clearance at the Diff pumpkins do you get?
I always wondered what equivalent setup a Jeep would require to match my R1S clearance.
It's always one of the 1st questions my jeep friends ask. I estimated a stock wrangler with 35's would be the equivalent to the R1S 14.9 " of...
Hi,
I have turned off my Auto setting in suspension ride heights, but I still noticed the sounds coming from suspension adjustments. Kneel is Off too.
Granted, they only appear to happen or are heard in the 1st 5 mins or so of driving. So maybe the computer goes thru an initialization every...
Ohh man. If that is the case there is no way to change the oil in the motors. Hmm another reason to not keep this past warranty as I guess changing the motor would be expensive and if you need it you need it.
Hopefully the 3rd part mechanics can eventually do this for us if DIY is prohibitive...
I recall I saw a video on YT of a R1T on rollers. Getting stuck when on 3 rollers with the guy slowly increasing throttle. And then getting out by mashing the throttle. So the stall was experienced differently depending on the throttle response.
Personally, I have experienced what was shown in...
That Rivian can emulate something close to a differential via software? I've read many arguments that it can't be done.
It does not have to be 100% equivalent just some way to get the same pwr to all 4 wheels.
is that even possible?
Thanks for checking that out!! Also if possible please add some more visuals of the mount and mounting in your upcoming installation video to get a better understanding of how it is mounted.
What would be the best Mode for Climbing without good traction? like a steep uphill with loose sand/dirt/rocks.
I've been stalled in such scenario but did not try other modes before getting out of trouble.
Would Changing Traction Control to Reduced or Off help in these cases?
This makes sense. But why is the OP showing only one motor warming up? Should both be warming up for Dual Motor Rivians or should all 4 be warming up for Quads.
If they are suppossed to be symetrically warming up and you see what OP sees, it's probably that one side valve may have issues.
