They could even offer marginal "Aftermarket" upgrades to Dual Performance
A few ideas:
Sport Mode but no extra HP... suspension full drop, +launch mode $1000
Sport Mode with some extra HP... same as above but 583 HP $2500
Full Sport Mode ... $5000
I could also see them selling the Gary Launch...
I believe it.
Double door seals, you cannot see potential body damage / dents /scrapes yet under the mud, sealed battery, sealed drive units.
Plus if I walked up on my truck in that condition and found it drivable, I would probably also try to clean off the windshield, charge port, lights...
I agree - Additionally, the cost estimate is only somewhat accurate if you were charging at home with your utility's cost entered in.
For me, I think it got the speeds and distance correct...I have not seen any anomolies yet.
I am unsure why it would use rated range for anything in a mileage...
Agreed - I could have gone a little slower on some stretches. It might have improved the milage a bit.
The first and last leg was on I-40. The telsa charger was at Bucees in Crossville, TN - where it went to 2 lane highway. On I-40, I was closer to 70 mph. On the state road (Crossville to the...
This past Saturday, I used my Dual motor R1T to haul the band trailer for my daughter's high school to a competition about 140 miles away. The trailer weighs 7500lbs and is 24' long... While the truck pulls the trailer GREAT, the range went down the toilet. Effectively, range dropped to about 95...
So after another band trip, I was able to figure this out: Camp Mode / Leave on solves this issue. I just turn off the HVAC so my HV battery doesn’t drain too fast.
I also talked to the boosters about getting a cheap 12v battery added to the trailer.
That actually works - so does leaving the seatbelt fastened on the drivers side.
Just looking for a way I can leave it on if I’m not close by for maybe an hour or so. I’ll experiment with camp mode Friday night next time I’m hooked up to the trailer.
I’m also 100% behind the adding a battery...
I have a 2024 R1T that I am using to haul my daughter’s high school marching band equipment trailer to football games and band competitions almost every week. It’s basically a 24’ car hauler. It tows great.
This trailer does not have a battery - and the interior lights in the trailer seem to...
I would image this applies for R1S also but my R1T has been acting up lately.
Randomly, I find it powered up with the HVAC going. I’ll glance at the app and see I’ve lost 5% range in a few hours of it being parked.
If this is happening to you, 99% chance it’s the occupancy sensor in the driver...
My R1T is going in 9/16 for the same issue. Luckily, there is a very strong wet vac at the car wash near my house. I’m stopping by daily to keep it under control.
The wetness is definitely worse when it’s humid and I’m running the A/C a lot.
I have to admit: seeing your pics, I’m kind of inspired to buy a set of tow hook covers now. THEY will impact before anything else and it could prevent a nasty looking scrape.
I tow a lot. I was down to 5/32 at my last rotation at 10k miles on the Perelis. I’m at 13k today. Last week I ran over a nail and after squeezing my bottle of tireject into it (included with our Rivians) I took it to Discount Tire to get the nail pulled. I was down to 4/32 on all 4 tires.
I...
These tires have only been out a few weeks on this size…. We finally have an alternative to the Pirelli tires.
The Defenders also seem to have a slightly better load rating so they should last longer.
Today, I put a set on my R1T at the local Discount Tire. Let’s see how they hold up.
I could see it being somewhat useful if you are going on a hike for a few days and the car will be outside. It could potentially counteract vampire drain and maybe add a few miles of range.
Another use could be to use it while camping maybe... if you are using the EV battery to power the...
I had a similar type of accident in the Silverado I owned before my R1T. A traverse cut in front of me to turn left from the right lane when I was going straight.
Damage to my car was superficial… I used caliber collisions to replace a plastic trim piece and paint / fade a small scuff mark on...
My dual motor on 21” stock tires averages 2.5 ish unless I’m towing or driving it hard. Highway / interstate driving 2.2-2.4 but I usually push it around 75-80mph.
