I'll be doing that Spokane to Kennewick leg next March when we head to Utah, so good to get some beta on it! You managed a fair distance there! Looks like it is because it is largely downhill? (I've only been through WA once, and it was a bit west of there, on my way down to Bend last year)
In the manual for my Gen 1 Quad Large, it just says to use a weight distributing hitch when expecting a tongue weight over 500 lbs (and that it can be up to 1000 lbs).
I use the Anderson system myself, but only transfer a small amount of weight (I only have the retention bolts, near the...
While the CT now peaks higher, it is still at a very low SoC, so low that it isn't practical to most people. By 30% SoC, it is below what my Gen 1 Quad Large will hold, and judging by the graph it stays below, and that is just comparing % SoC 1:1, not accounting for the fact that my pack is...
I've towed a fair amount with my gen 1 quad large - charge port on the front means I haven't had to unhitch - Tesla adapter has made the trips I want to do feasible.
Most recent was a 2000km circle trip from Nelson through southern Alberta up to Drumheller and home through the rockies. Did...
I have been consistently seeing 1 - 1.5 kWh per 24 hours since I started tracking back at 2023.50.1. Still seeing the same as of 2024.27.01 with two tracked intervals. This is with the Alarm On, Motion Cam On (with "Off at Home" selected), parked in my carport which is far enough from my house...
Former owner of a Leaf, current owner of a higher-mileage 2018 Model 3. My eldest son turns 16 next year, and while I will probably teach him in the 3 (definitely not my R1T!!), if it were to be a car he would take out on his own, I'd rather he be in a Leaf - cheaper, more reliable, enough power...
I had a pallet of flagstones in my truck a month ago and my suspension leveled fine but made a lot of noise a week or two later when letting air out (and thereafter). Recently was in for service and mentioned it and they found an air line dislodged so reconnected it. I donāt know how much it...
After being initially āstickyā to get the NACS plug inserted far enough to fully slide the lock all the way over, mine has worked fine across at least a dozen different Superchargers dozens of times. Best of luck! Iām on vacation right now, made much more reliable/feasible by having the adapter.
It canāt be that much more to have the port at the front - I know the goal is cutting cost, but I think this is an instance where it can go too far (ie lack of stalls in Teslas)
Yup! Iām sitting here at a relatively recent install in Canada with 4 Supercharger stalls where you can only nose in while towing due to a small fence/infrastructure on either side. In my R1T it is no problem, but I was chuckling about the quandary a Cyberteuck owner would be in and how Tesla...
Before you are so rude in how you address me (or others) next time, I suggest you read the post more thoroughly. I said in my first sentence I was initiating through the Tesla app. Bye.
Had a quick glance at the CT forums to see if anything interesting over there - found this interesting thread on phantom drain. Sounds like Tesla has some work to do on the software for the CT compared to the remainder of their fleet ->...
Iām wondering if anyone else is noticing uneven tire wear due to towing? Iāve got about 2,000km on my tires towing a 5,000lb trailer with about 650lbs tongue weight. Loaded up we are pretty close to GVWR. Tonight while charging I was idly looking at my rear tires and noticed an apparent splay...
I sent the following email to Rivian:
ā
The Plug N Charge feature on my R1 is overriding charging sessions that I initiate with the Tesla app, which means I donāt get my membership rate (ie I pay more through Rivian, which is annoying when I specifically bought a one month membership with Tesla...
Iāve run into a few times now with my a2z NACS adapter that a Tesla station limits the power to my truck. Checking the adapter it is pretty warm, but so is the Tesla handle and cable. Anyone else running into this too?
started charging mid-day and it throttled pretty quickly to 6kW. The handle wasnāt particularly hot. Odd that it restricts L2 but wouldnāt restrict DCFC handle at about the same temp. Wonder if my charge port has an issue too⦠I live so far from the SC I wonāt be getting it checked anytime soon...
