I’ve had a few chargers overnight lately where it slows down and wasn’t sure what to make of it. It has been quite hot during the day (mid 90s) but cools down overnight to high 60s. I haven’t seen any messages but haven’t been in the truck either.
The simple act of trying to open the front door risks serious damage to your finger if someone is operating the rear door at the same time. Only Tesla seems capable of creating an overlapping hazard like this out of such an innocuous activity...
I've noticed that, but I think more related to what your state-of-charge was. I've gone down a 3,500 ft pass here in BC with no limiting because I started at the top around 30% or so (IIRC).
I generally agree with the above and RR is the first person I’ve ever blocked on this forum. I blocked him because it was a constant one-sided stream of drivel that came out as patronizing and I’d read enough of it. Best.
I use it and set my consumption to 1.9km/kWh. So far my truck is reporting the same. I also increase the weight substantially. I find the planner then to be a bit conservative, which I’m fine with!
Exactly! I've already run into a situation where the Supercharger de-rated before my truck - charging from a start of about 8% SOC, I pulled the max curve on my Large pack (>200kW) all the way up to around 45%, then received a message that the charging station was slowing me down (around 170kW...
Luckily there is almost nothing in here that has me feeling like I’m missing out - the only thing we really wanted was lighter trim accents. The rest is interesting but wasn’t what I thought was on offer. The item that would have made me a bit upset was an actual max pack quad.
Wow dude, you are hilarious. I listed many many points that make the R1T more liveable for me and many other folks. Not saying you have to like them, but to call them "misconceptions" is laughable. Bye.
I was asked for my objective points on comparison, so I presented them. As I said at the bottom of my post, "Note that none of these are related to the form factor of the vehicles (ie I didn't compare anything truck specific to sedan specific)." To be clearer, perhaps I should have put "2018...
You can find all sorts of posts on Twitter and Insta showing people with a few bags of soil saying they are doing "truck stuff" - I did the same thing in my Model 3 - that is the point I was making about 'bigger vehicle'. But let's leave that alone - I recognize I'm in the minority in society in...
Seems use-case specific. The only one in there I'm interested in was the Gear Guard vs Sentry note. Thanks for the list though.
Wait actually I did think of one! In our Tesla, Tidal will switch from my wife's account to my account with our driver profiles, but in the Rivian it will only use one...
Too bad Tesla forgot the "function" part for their "truck". All it is doing is encouraging Tesla die-hards to buy a bigger vehicle than they actually need.
YMMV, as usual. Here are my objective points for my 2023 R1T vs 2018 Model 3:
- roof rack can be put on/off much faster and due to the wider spacing works better for my typical loads
- I can open my doors all winter long in the R1T; with the frameless windows having to roll down, there are...
