Given the news yesterday about Rivian offering some incentives for the R1T, I did another count today....192 R1T Max packs!
Curious what you are seeing if you want to compare notes again :)
Case in point....a new R1S just sold on CnB today for ~$90k including 4.5% buyers fee vs. a $94k MSRP. Seems like the one yesterday was an outlier most likely.
I wouldn't read too much into a single data point like this unless it becomes a trend. Yes, this one sold at a ~15% discount to MSRP (including buyer's fee), but the last few had much smaller discounts (mid to high single digit).
They noted on their earnings calls that the ratio of R1S to R1T pre-orders was about 70/30 as of the last time they reported their order backlog. But production is much higher in recent quarters as well.
All the R1Ts in the shop right now are large pack or max pack. Anyone know when we might start seeing some standard packs in there? It does make sense that Rivian wants to prioritize higher priced models first but this could help boost their unit growth when it comes out.
I'm based in NYC but I noticed that there seem to be roughly the same number of vehicle available in the R1T shop even if you input, say, a Bay Area zipcode.
Out of curiosity, is that just a coincidence or are the same vehicles showing up? Seems like their 1-6 week delivery time could encompass...
Interesting, I didn't know they restrict the supply. And yes, a similar vehicle (but in black) sold for $10k less around the same time, so hard to say how much $ you would get as one or two motivated buyers can influence the result greatly.
What sites do you view as more reliable indicators of...
Think it only makes sense if you have a pre-March 2022 configuration.
A white R1S just got sold for $94k on cars&bids last week and the owner only paid $79k for it since he had pre-March 2022 pricing.
