    My dual Motor was at 2.52 before winter at 10,000 miles. Now down to 2.10 lifetime..... winter + 1000 miles of towing took its toll.

    Let's hope they don't do any major changes to the platform and maroon us gen 1 & 2 owners with obsolete noisy half-shafts. As long as the R1s share half-shaft part # with new builds -- there's hope.

    This is good to hear. I always figured a solution would come from this. The technicians at the metro Detroit SC almost methodically knew how to handle my suspension noise issue back when I first brought it in. "It's a complicated suspension and the noise is normal" They did handle the jounce...

    The only fix for the chattering is packing grease in the bearings and that only lasts for a few hundred miles. Unless we get new half-shafts it's just the way it is.

    I should have just asked others who have a dual motor R1T. What half-shafts PT# have they seen on recent work orders.

    So PT00087074-D is not the current half shaft? I'm seeing a different part number on recent service order sheets. PT00055489-G is the new part #? Does the R1T and R1S have different part #s? Quad versus dual?

    I was hoping this would be changed with a software update and 2 of them have come and gone without a fix. Looks like I'm forced to waste some Rivian dollars on this. (Stock holder here)

    There's very little competition for pricing with charging. Most of us don't have 2 to 3 different charging options within a 10 mile radius.

    The new Lucid Gravity GT looks nice. Depends on where you live. I have no service centers within 300 miles. Rivian SC is 40 miles away and I can get an appointment in 4 days.

    I'd put the chances at less than 0.000001% that RJ hasn't lost some sleep over these damn things. It's the weakest point in the vehicle.

    It's a very ambitious suspension for a new vehicle. If the adjustable travel was 3 inches or less (like most air suspension premium rides) we likely wouldn't need the splines in the half-shaft, which would eliminate the chatter. We also wouldn't have the standard height vibration that develops...
