Well mine is having the same behavior. Pushing and holding the button it will close all the way but just pushing the button it stops short about 1" on each open and close.
I guess I'm in the minority. I love having the large space, simply because I have flexibility. Putting in trays, bags, separators is easy. I don't want to be limited by some organization system.
The footwell space I use for my radio strap, I never had a good spot for it in my tundra.
I would love access to repair manuals and software. Also need access to parts. I really hope they don't take the Apple and Tesla method.
I lost the hitch cover, and of course there's no place to order it so I had to put in a service request.
When they were here fixing my truck after it bricked...
Not positive. I accidentally closed mine and there was something in the bed that it hit. After that, it would stop an inch short of the tailgate. I then held the button and it closed all the way to the tailgate and seemed to reset itself. Apparently this works for the windows too if they have...
I've tried lots of different options over many years, what I finally settled on is a North shore rack. Super adjustable, extremely strong, very well built with no plastic bits to break. It is a bit heavy but that's the only downside I've experienced. Keeps bed free for other stuff, very fast to...
Painted in a light color, or even reflective would lower the temp. That said, we do not have any information on the failure mechanism (there seems to be a few failure types). We need to not assume from information we do not have. They obviously rushed the cover and it has numerous issues. As a...
I'm good with hidden, reason being, it will get scratched up by hitches and if sprayed with salt in the winter, rust. My tundra is only a couple years old and the hitch is an eyesore because of it. I like the choice.
So after having the hitch mounted bike rack in today, I removed it and was putting the hitch panel back in. I tried to turn the screws with my thumb and was unsuccessful but it did stick up in the correct position. Then one of my boys was yelling at me for something and I got distracted and...
I got hit with the 12v drain problem and have been very nervous the truck will brick itself again. Glad there seems to be a fix.
I'm tired of being on edge that it will fail at any point. I've been measuring the 12v batteries every time I take it out to try and avoid getting stranded.
Tech came out and replaced the 12V batteries and cleared error codes. Truck is back in my garage.
Things of note:
1. Tech said this is a common thing, happening since the 2022.15 update.
2. Said they haven't heard of it happening a second time to any trucks.
3. If the frunk tub is out, the truck...
I really, really want a service manual. For this issue, we have 2 batteries and I'll bet they are not in parallel. Also, the wires to the back of the truck are not directly connected (0 volt reading). I really wish I could find out what is going on.
