I don't have the hatred of AI that some others do but I don't use it for day to day stuff. I think it will be extremely useful for things like drug research, materials, and especially fusion. I don't think we get fusion as a commercial power plant without AI.

That assumes you have natural gas. Quite a few areas have very expensive heating oil so a cold weather heat pump saves a lot of money.

I disagree that stuff just worked. Cars could barely go 100k miles without significant work even in the 90s. I think it's much better now that we have to reboot but can expect a car to last 200k+ miles.

Sure but they were largely mechanical things. Now everything is electrified, cars, washers, phones, TVs, etc and it's not abnormal to have to restart things.

I plan on at least 10 years depending on the reliability of my R1T. Maybe trade it in for an R3 and another tow vehicle for my yet to be purchased boat.

Why not get a car service to the airport if you are gone for a month? Seems like parking fees would be much more than an Uber.

Not if you use it only on the highway. I haven't seen any premature wear due to conserve mode on road trips.
