+1 to cross bar whistle. Well established complaint in other threads. Some have stuffed foam weather stripping along the t-track with success - cosmetically invisible if you absolutely want the look of crossbars on even when not in use.
+1 to having quarter panel adjusted or replaced. I...

While still a concept, this R1T “clone” definitely piques my interest as a Rivian fan. Expandable bed, beefy looking wheels/tires, and running boards. Definitely leans towards the...

Only minor issues that stellar N. Las Vegas SC has handled quickly.
Love the reactions when the stock R1 holds its own against the (lightly) modded Jeeps and Tacos.
Recommend to anyone looking for capable off-road vehicle that switches to efficient mall...
Sorry if this is redundant, but did you go into the app and remove the phone as a key, and then forget all Rivian Bluetooth sensors on the phone (car audio, 4 prox sensors, and camp speaker)? I had to do this a couple times when I setup my new phone (15 pro max). I think the car was still...
Wonder what the backlash will be from the installed base who paid $$$ for FSD. I know a few people who absolutely love Tesla FSD and swear by it. This is akin to Rivian’s attempt to nerf the launch acceleration earlier this year. Very hard to hobble a very popular feature.
Little pricey? I’ve been happy with Rigid Armor. Can get similar one from them for $1100. I got mine used with fold down table accessory for $1100 (cross-trek version). My use case is occasional light off-roading (3-5 OnX). The hitch mount has been solid over 6 months.
I sent Rigid Armor the...
not sure why. Most assume annoying cost-cutting measures. FWIW I don’t hear anyone complaining that the 12v plugs or horn are failing - just that the newer single horn configuration is embarrassingly weak.
Just to aDd another dimension - there are some subtle omissions that have been made between the early and later VINs. The ones I see mentioned most often are:
Removal of frunk 12v
Removal of center dash 12v
Removal of one horn
If these are important to you, check the used vehicles to see if...
That’s great news! Can you share details? A couple used replacement are listed on eBay for $300-500, so that price is really attractive once I FUBAR mine.
I was thinking of taking both pieces to a local off-road shop to see what they thought. I think EV Sportline replied over a year ago that...
TL;DR - I scraped up the silver fascia below the main bumper. Rather than costly repair for high wear area, I removed, sanded, and painted it. Photo above is after.

Definitely lose the rear camera and sensors. When backing up I rely on the overhead for backing into spots for centering. Just have to get used to the depth. I actually considered adding after market backup cam but haven’t pulled the trigger on that yet.
Watch your departure angle and obstacle...
I have set of dark 22 that I took on packed gravel - didn’t air down. There were definitely marks all the way up the side wall. That was my single test run in 22”. I now have set of 20” with stock ATs. Have been doing some 3-5 rock crawling and have some decent rim rash. Basically the stock...
Looking for a guide for removing the silver plastic panel in the center below the front bumper on R1S. From pictures on eBay it looks like it has a bunch of those ridiculous tabs like the hitch cover, but also two or three bolted anchor points.
Got some rash and I am thinking about sanding...
I have been using this one. Has both 4 and 5 pin connectors.
WOFTD Trailer Plug Adapter 7 Pin Round to 4 and 5 Flat Blade Trailer Connector Trailer Adapter, 2-in-1 Flat Blade Plug https://a.co/d/ans9LqC
Not smaller overall diameter with 20s. Will be larger (or same with non OEM AS)
Stock:
21 + Pirelli AS = 33”
22 + Pirelli AS = 33”
20 + Pirelli AT = 34” (much more sidewall with smaller wheel and larger tire diameter, least efficient)
20 + Pirelli AS = 33” (same as 21 and 22 stock options)...
