Tesla does still struggle in service, not as bad as Rivian, but as you noted they've had more time. But its still pretty bad on the Tesla front which makes me continue to have concerns for both companies versus the old dealership (stealership) model.
Ah thanks. I had that configured but they removed it from the configuration when they were having issues and there is no option to get it now as far as I've heard.
3.5 hours of driving this am and i'm back home with a nasty Nissan Kicks. Never heard of it. So small it blew all over the windy mass pike today. No idea when they'll start on the Rivian but the expectation was set that its 1-2 weeks from now.
Went in this week. They told me in advance I may need to leave it so got a rental "just in case" but then when I arrived they told me they had nobody to work on it and it would be 1-2 weeks before someone would get to it on my appointment date. It probably only needs an alignment and a...
What I dont get is these are adventure vehicles. Plus EVs. Neither are a great fit for city life with apartment charging challenges, tight spaces etc. Put a service center at the base of Mount Wachusett or something and let us ski or hike while we wait.
Thing is for the Chelsea MA one, even for small stuff they always want to keep it as same day on the appointment day for basic things arent possible it seems. For me its >1 hour drive without traffic but usually takes me 2 hours. So I end up with a loaner (long process to get in and out with...
Mine is not a chirp or clunk, more of a click and it only does it once per change in velocity (most noticeable/annoying in traffic / stop signs/lights but you can make it happen on the highway just accelerating/decelerating).
I'll probably swap off the ATs (I dont really need that) to...
Thanks, not mechanical but with added half shaft I found a few threads. My main question is if its a sign of something that will get worse or if its just an annoyance? Really dont want to drive to Chelsea MA.
I drive 99% of the time in AP with whatever it does with ride heights. Default...
Hi folks, I have a 2023 R1T quad with 20K miles on it. I have 2 things that i'm wondering on. Overall the truck has been fantastic and these seem minor but checking if they could be more or are things others have experienced:
1) When accelerating / decelerating the truck kind of clicks. Its...
Somewhat off topic but the Rivian doesnt have the same smell issues the Model S does. I've found I need to have them clean the HVAC system every year or two as it starts to smell pretty bad and its not just an old filter. Tesla recently seems to be trying to adjust for that by running high fan...
Great sounds easy. The Tesla you have to take apart the dash.
How often are people replacing these? I definitely dont want to drive for 3 hours to have Rivian do this or use the (seemingly inferior) filter from Rivian.
This is great. Dumb question perhaps, but on a R1T how do you replace the filter? On my 2018 Tesla Model S its a painful process so I dont do it myself. Is the Rivian one more accessible?
Great stats!
In MA there's no TOU for Residential customers. There is a ChargeSmartMA program which offers rebates which arent huge but better than nothing.
Sorry to be that guy but it seems you need to have 2 sets if you want flexibility in roof or back. That doubles the cost if you have that need. Also when not using them you need to store at full length, vs the Rivian ones that go to the min length for storage. Lack of locking is an issue too. It...
My 2018 Tesla Model S has that lifetime premium connectivity and free supercharging for life. The FSD stuff drives me nuts as its not great but it was only $3K but with those free options i'm never trading it in :p
