Rivian just bumped up pricing in Canada stating a currency exchange adjustment. They are using an exchange rate > $1.50 which is very high and after tax puts the Tri models north of $200k after taxes. Ouch.
I was looking daily for a Tri in the shop, hoping to take advantage of the CAD $8600...
That would be great. I was actually leaning towards El Cap in matte but the Storm Blue looks super nice too. Would love to see a pic when you get a min. Thanks.
Looks super nice, thanks for posting. I'm considering a Storm Blue tri-motor R1T with the Sky interior. Wonder what it would look like with Stealth PPF.
A delivery miss and lower guidance is terrible news for a growth stock. Same thing happened to Netflix and others when growth slowed or reversed. Totally expected given the news.
If that is true then none of the other vehicles that MT uses for comparison are SUVs eitehr.
BMW XM
Mercedes-AMG GLS63
Maserati Grecale Trofeo
Yangwang U8
Audi RS Q8
Hummer EV
Lamborghini Urus Performante
Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT
Aston Martin DBX707
and every BMW M and Mercedes-AMG SUV (not SUV).
No reason we shouldn’t be installing 350kW chargers today. Even if we can’t supply that to 20 vehicles at one location there are many times when only a handful are charging or have vehicles not capable of high speed (cough Lightning).
Ya, I saw that to but the truck is capable. I saw the charge speed on the Silverado is quite good as well. I still think that would have been a nice upgrade for Gen2, I would take that over a semi-dimming roof :)

I'm not even sure what that means. Lucid delivered only 6000 vehicles in 2023 and both production and deliveries were lower in H2/23 than they were in 2022 which is not a great trend. Also, they produced more but couldn't sell them. Turns out there isn't a big market for $200K luxury sedans...
I'm not sure Canoo will make it as a company, they are just not moving fast enough and are entering a crowded market. The specs don't look particularly good either. The LV has a better chance as a minivan replacement for a family running around town.
